Hôtel Restaurant Le Manoir, Aix-les-Bains - Reviews & Ratings"Booked a standered room but were actually given a superior room without realising (poss due to our bad understanding of the French language!)Protested in the morning when charged for a Superior room. The lady receptionist agreed and we paid the rate we expected from the booking. I really hope that we did not cause any offense as we had no idea we were in a better room, we assumed that the room given to us was the standered one booked. We can highly recommend this hotel, the staff were extreemly friendly and helpful, we just need to brush up on our french!" (99295101)

Hôtel Restaurant Le Manoir, Aix-les-Bains - Reviews & Ratings"The Hotel is charming, with very helpful staff and in easy walking distance from the Town Centre. The room was a nice size and the Restaurant was outstanding with quality food and wine. The Head waiter was very attentive and caring. Gargage parking was excellent and the only thing missing was coffee/tea making facilities in the room, plus the ability to charge your mobile phone, (there was a pin to stop the adaptor fitting ??). Would recommend this Hotel to anyone." (99137842)
Friendly English speaking receptionist...all staff were however very helpful.

Hôtel Restaurant Le Manoir, Aix-les-Bains - Reviews & Ratings"More signs within Aix-le-Bain to help with directions to hotel, and we had to pay for parking as free spaces were full-up. Staff were pleasant and helpful, would have liked more fruit options for breakfast but that was a minor fault, also would have appreciated some advance notice regarding the tunnel repairs just outside Aix-le-Bain which resulted in a very long delay, had we known about it we could have chosen to arrive later perhaps when the traffic had lessened." Parking was a problem and again there is a charge.The Hotel staff in general were very friendly and the food in the resaurant was excellent.Eating out we found that the food was very poor and expensive." It is old fashioned and dark, with elderly residents. it seemed expensive and we were all charged more for our bedrooms than we had been quoted. Also breakfast is not included in the room price and at 11.20 euros each is expensive. some of the rooms dark, pokey and stuffy with no air conditioning. (it was very hot when we stayed)" (2165105)

Staff (esp reception )more friendly and helpful. Better menu in restaurant, more choice esp for vegatarians and children.

We had a short stay (2 nights), but really liked Aix and this hotel. Possibly we were lucky with the allocated room (Double/Twin Balcon Supérieure)." (2368805)
Location, view, large room with even larger terrace. Helpful welcoming staff.
Only negative comment on stay was that the gymnasium equipment was temporarily unavaliable.

Restaurant excellent. Swimming pool. Location.
They kept forgetting to turn on the sauna & steam room, so they couldn't be used. No hot water one evening. Clarity on charges - rate doesn't include breakfast.

Hôtel Restaurant Le Manoir, Aix-les-Bains - Reviews & Ratings"hôetl haut-de-gamme très agréable avec un extérieur fleuri génial. la nourriture du restaurant est excellente l'acceuil très satisfaisant. dommage que le parking soit payant (8euros) mais il y en a 1 gratuit juste a coté de l'hotel. les piscines et jacuzzi sont magnifiques et il y a peu de monde (j'y suis allée les 2 jours avec mon compagnon et nous étions seuls a chaque fois. je n'ai pas pris le petit déjeunert donc pas d'avis là-dessus. très bonne prestation en général." "Aix is a beautiful town and very clean, it is a ten minute walk to the town downhill, and has easy access from the auto-routes, giving a fast and clear run to Geneva, Grenoble and Lyon, ( the reason for my choosing Aix,)I would like to visit again with family for a holiday. The staff were friendly and helpful and I would recommend this hotel." (99977763)
The calmness of the hotel, plus the service was excellent as was the restaurant.
The car parking was the other side of the road and was not secure, but there did not seem to be a problem with this.
