this is a basic hotel but very clean very good value for money
only one thing it could raise cost a little so they could put tea coffee in your room this would be nice for guests to have

Arcantis Hotel Voltaire, Rennes - Reviews & Ratings"It's difficult for me to say as I'm a little out of 'Kilter' to the norm -no car,so use public transport.A trifle annoying to arrive tired and then find my way to the Hotel in a big city -even with the map, but,refreshed, and experienced with the Metro and buses, loved the trip back and forth to the Voltaire. With hindsight would have done more research via the 'net -map and transport." (99475130)
It was probably very good value -for France, but I'd been spoilt by my previous stay in Spain. Quiet,clean and felt quite homely,nice area.
Distance from Railway Station, thought it was a Kilometre - nearer Four.

nous sommes arrivées vers 22h et un des personnels était encore présent pour nous accueillir, l'hotel reste ouvert toute la nuit donc, nous avons pu profiter de rennes et de ses environs

"The hotel is a little way from the centre of town and unfortunately not on the metro line. However there is a bus stop nearby, and you can get a number 19 bus into town (takes 10 minutes). A taxi from the train station to the hotel costs just under 10 Euros. The hotel is generally very comfortable and excellent value. It is sutuated on a quiet little street, but just remember to pack your earplugs in case there are any early morning revellers!!" (97047873)
Relaxed atmosphere, fair room size & nice decor, efficient shower, excellent breakfast
During a 4 night stay, I was awakened on 2 nights in the middle of the night by people both in the hotel and outside.
