Clean, recently refurbished, pleasant and helpful staff. Our room was very nice.
Service in the restaurant was very slow - had to wait 20 minutes for coffee at end and probably would have waited longer without a reminder.

hideous decor in rooms - walls and furniture all grey - quite depressive. bathroom had clear glass panes which could be seen through window from garden. smell of fresh paint

Continental breakfast provided was good. We very much enjoyed our time in Lyon la Foret along with our walks in the surrounding woodland. This is our third visit to this beautiful village and we hope it won't be long before we return again." (97284008)

We left quite early in the morning and the woman was up and ready for us to check out. Friendly staff. The breakfast was worth the price - also didn't see many alternatives in town. Clean, good-sized room. Fluffy towels. The woman who runs the place was very friendly and helpful -even with my limited french!
It could use a bit of updating.

Soft white fluffy towels.Easy and safe parking.
Decor needs to be updated. The Bar needs to be open at the times advertised and more welcoming than a morgue. The bed needs to be horizontal instead of convex.

Hôtel De La Licorne, Lyons la Forêt - Reviews & Ratings"Due to limited choice of restaurants in the village, the hotel could have mentioned at the time of booking, that they would make restaurant reservation if required, particularly if guest is arriving late in the day. Restaurants were quite fully booked and we found it difficult to find a suitable dinner reservation - however, overall the staff were very accommodating and helpful. The hotel appeared to be well located to open a restaurant itself which would also be very convenient for guests." (2628648)

The hotel was exceptionally clean in all respects. The on-site car parking was very convenient.
Reduce the size of petit dejeuner,which at 12euros was pricey.

The reception on checking in was not particularly welcoming - this could be due to the language barrier, but was a little off-putting. We tried to get a drink on returning to the hotel at 21.45pm and was told that the bar was closed. Could do more to make guests feel like returning to this beautiful village." (1356398)
