cleanliness and helpful staff, although sometimes there was a bit of language barrier but you have to expect that. Restaurant was excellent with good food, and after the first night the staff redone a menu for us in English which was really helpfull.
The only problem was there was no air conditioning or fans in the room, and as the weather was really hot it got very hot and stuffy in the room.

Staff were very friendly and attentive, and made us feel very welcome. The standard of cleanliness throughout was of a high standard. The main complaint must be as above, regarding the lack of ventilation in our room. Air conditioning would be ideal, but even a fan would have helped. Not much else could be done about the traffic noise." (3304563813)
It was what I would expect from an establishment of this rating.
The lack of ventilation. We were there for 4 very hot nights, needing to keep the balcony doors open to allow some air to enter the room. Traffic noise was excessive, making sleep difficult.

Auberge de l'Orisse, Varennes sur Allier - Reviews & Ratings"Although it is actually very easily found, I had tried locating it on via michelin which placed it at the other end of the village so, having driven past it, we were looking at the wrong end. We found the hotel had an individual ambience with much made of the owners' pride in their German Shepherd dogs. We had no preconception of the quality of the food, but found it exceeded our expectations. Excellent." (2545360)

Auberge de l'Orisse, Varennes sur Allier - Reviews & Ratings"I would have liked to have known more of the accomodation details, ie was there a lift, facilities available in each room (bath or shower for example), the fact that there was no safe to keep valuables in, i.e. money/passports. Also the hotel should have made it clear that tennis is currently not available. Apart from the hotel's pool there are plenty of facilities such as outdoor heated leisure pool, tennis, go karting, etc available in nearby Varennes. Lots of interesting towns, markets and natural sites to explore within an hour or so's drive." (1875778)
Friendly informal atmosphere - good food, lovely terrace to eat on and enjoy the weather and nice swimming pool and patio area.
The childrens play area was a bit tatty and the tennis court was being used to keep a dog in and therefore was not available which is not as advertised.

Endroit très chouette le seul point négatif la piscine pour les enfants n'était pas ouverte pour cause de temps incertain il a fallu insister auprès de la direction pour la faire ouvrir !

Accueil, convivialité, parking gratuit, piscine, facilité d'accès. Look exterieur fait très forte impression.
Rafraichir peinture déco chambres. Avoir un accès chambres pour handicapes (ascenseur, rampe)
