Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"In our opinion The Westminster is the only hotel in Le Touquet. We have stayed in others in the past but after three visits to The Westminster, including two excellent Christmases, we would not wish to stay anywhere else. We have recommended it to several friends and family members. It isn't the cheapest place to spend time but you do get what you pay for in our view." (97611723)
Thirties charm. Friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere.

On reviews we were informed the hotel was a little dated, this was deinately not the case and I think a lot of owrk has been done to give the hotel a new look. Your spa facilities were being revamped during our stay so will definatly be back to see the changes you have made there.
Breakfast was a little pricey but all other aspects were great.

Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"The paperwork I received said we could book in 24 hours a day, this is the only point that I believe needs clarifying as when we arrived we were told the book in time is 3pm. Although luggage can be left with the concierge it is not the same as booking in." (97515595)
Comfortable room, the privacy, breakfast in room, robes, bathroom, the english TV, the location.
That we weren't staying longer perhaps! It was wonderful, nothing to dislike

Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was quite 'grand' with fantastic old-fashioned lifts. Our room was a good enough size and very comfortable - but the bathroom was my favourite. It had a very small bath (perfect when you're 5'3) and a separate walk-in shower room. This was decorated tastefully but quite old-fashioned (which I personally prefer). Unfortunately we didn't get time to check out the leisure facilities but we drank in the bar till late (listening to some chilled music) but unfortunately didn't eat at the hotel. Next time perhaps....." (97039930)
The hotel was quite charming and the staff very friendly and attentive. I also liked it's proximity to town.
No heated towel rails or slippers. Not much choice in the mini bar.

Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"Very impressive hotel and location within Le Touquet. Le Touquet it self is a very nice place to visit with lots of shops, golf courses and of course has a great beach. We were only stopping overnight but it is a nice alternative to staying in the Calais area. The road between Calais and Le Touquet is excellent." (97487021)
Very impressive hotel with lots of character and history
Rooms couls do with a little modernisation for example a proper shower screen within the bath plus tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"This was our second stay at the Westminster and once again we were not disappointed. Staff were welcoming and helpful and the restaurant food and wine were superb. A memorable dinner in the Pavillion, as well as being truly delicious, was almost theatrical in the presentation of the dishes." (97987790)
Welcoming, pleasant and efficient staff; a well furnished and comfortable room; superb food in both restaurants.

I was disappointed that the pool and spa area were closed, and wished that I had known this BEFORE booking, rather than be told about it afterwards, as it was one of the reasons for choosing the hotel." (97231079)
The decor; the room and hotel was clean, comfortable and quiet; the views from the room. The hotel even smelled nice!

It was all that we had expected it would be and would recommend it.
The door to one of the bathrooms had a window that was only obscured by a partially see through curtain, we could not get the lock on the bathroom door in the second room to work.

The staff were excellent. The food was excellent together with the service. It was not a modern hotel but that was what we liked about it. It appeared to have old fashioned values which was nice.
Our room seemed rather dingey in respect of decor. It needed redecorating to make it look cleaner and a better colour would make it look less bland. We saw into other rooms and their decor seemed a lot better.

Some 10 minutes later we were still waiting and then saw the waiter we had spoken to leave the hotel. We waited several more minutes then took our glasses to the bar and paid. Not very satisfactory!" enjoyed the facilities pool sauna and spa
poor service from bar staff breakfast was served late to our room, butter was not served with the breakfast, but in fairness the 2 waitresses who bought the breakfast to our room were very polite.

Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"Not a happy stay. I don't advise anyone to advise or leave outside office hours - they can't cope." (99448057)
Easy to find
Staff utterly inadequate. On arrival at 11.30pm (we had advised of late arrival) we were given a key to a room which was already ocupied. We then had to wait 45 minutes in the bar (no drinks offered, I fear we will be paying for what we ordered) while the service de nuit called in an individual who was off-duty to allocate us another room; he being incapable of operating the computerised room allocation system. The room itself was small, un-airconditioned and hot. We told the staff we would be leaving early in the morning. However, on leaving at 7.20am there was no one at the desk capable of checking us out (couldn't work the system) so we had to leave hoping that they would bill the right sum to our card. (I shall be back in touch if they don't).

Despite being a large hotel it wasn;t noisy and everything was very calm and efficient." (99139790)

Westminster Hôtel & Spa, Le Touquet - Reviews & Ratings"My wife and I took a Lyddair flight from Ashford/Lydd in a 16 seat Trilander. It took 20 minutes to get to LeTouquet and an 8 euro taxi ride to the Westminster. The hotel is a large 1930's building with traditional running all through it. The public areas are large, clean and welcoming and there is a swimming pool with health facilities in the basement which we did not have time to use. There are 2 restaurants and a comfortable bar. We had a wonderful lunch in the hotel and another in one of the excellent restaurants in the town, which is only 2 minutes walk away and leads to the beach. The food and wine at the hotel is quality French cuisine but not cheap, but this is not a cheap hotel. That said, it still represents good value, for as in life in general, you get what you pay for and this hotel is one of those experiences that will make you want to return." (99775535)
Larger than usual room with high ceilings and two full height windows. There was a sitting area with TV, a separate private lobby leading to large bathroom with marble topped twin basins and bath. Huge double bed and plenty of storage space.
There was no air conditioning.
