Grand Hôtel De La Grotte, Lourdes - Reviews & Ratings"Before I booked I would like to have known if tea making facilities were provided but I took a chance and they were not. However it was really easy to get tea etc once you went down and asked. Tea was provided anyway you wanted it with silver service, for very little, a few euros, and one did not feel that a lack of the local language made any difference in fact the staff loved to pracitse all their languages." The Hotel was really luxurious with an old world style but brand new. Everthing was spotless and modern. The staff couldnt have been nicer from meeting us at the door to have bags delivered to room, to delivering the morning breakfast and serving it in the room if needed. We were there at the end of the season but the food in the Brasserie was as sumptouous as in a top class city hotel in high season. Nothing to complain about. So friendly and so helpful with directions in any language.
Illumination of the stairwell in the night ,a bit tricky since the stairs was wide and steps very shalllow.
