Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"The only mishap in the experience was that although there is a 3 pound return shuttle we did not realize that it operates both ways only from the Gatwick airport so we travelled to Crawley and needed a further 8 pound taxi to get there and paid the 3lb. for one way back to the airport. It is not in the town. Otherwise everything is very nice." (97783264)
all is very good for an overnight or with a car
There wouldn't have been anything to do if we staying longer

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"Good hotel for what i need," (97232720)
easy to find not to far from my next days event
no anti slip Matt in the bath , i slipped when taking a shower bruised left arm. Some guest were quite noisy when leaving in the early hours ie 4am onward, may be a notice be put on bedroom doors asking guest to be more considerate to other users of the hotel or remind them at time they request a early call

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"It was a very pleasant experience all round. All the staff were helpful, from the moment I stepped onto the bus at Gatwick airport until the moment I stepped off again at Gatwick airport the following morning." (3305204572)
The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were lovely and soft.
I would have preferred to have had the payment taken in full at the time of booking. My husband booked the hotel and I was not expecting to have to pay on arrival.

The shuttle bus driver was exteremely helpful and went out of his way to assist me with getting a power adapter for my laptop. He made my day and the entire stay worthwhile. The reception ladies were also very accommodating.
During the night, the noise on the hallways caused by arriving or leaving travellers was quite disruptive. A simple reminder please be considerate of other guests when arriving or leaving at late hours would be maybe a good idea.

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"What facilities were avaliable for disabled travelers, such as loop systems access to information Tv teltext service (if you meet your obligation to the DDA 1995 these would be in place) staff trained in deaf awareness.. Also the state of the repairs in the rooms is far below the status of your hotel tiles not in line when replaced, comfortable enough but had it not been a special offer ,, it would be far over priced for what is on ooffer to disabled travelers" (99543446)
Close to where I needed to be
Being profoundly deaf , NO subtitles on TV,, No visual alarm for deaf people,, staff not deaf aware for the needs of deaf people,

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"The Gatwick Worth, A hotel that provides a fair degree of comfort after a long drive. I found both bar & returant staff quite helpful , indeed as this was my third visit one member of staff did know me as soon as he met me near the restuarnt , I find that very nice, I will be back certainly in July 2007 for a other local seminar, then again as a day visitor in September when the club I belong to holds its yearly event" (99394520)

The Restaurant was very good and the Bar with its access to outside grassed area was particularly welcome during this hot weather period.
I found the beds a little uncomfortable and would have liked some environmental control over the temperature in my room

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"This was just an overnight stay before we flew out in the morning, so we did not spend much time in the hotel. We got in late and the kitchen was closed. We were able to get sandwiches, but it would have been nice to have more variety. The vending machine was out of order. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and patient when dealing with tired, hungry and frustrated travellers. The ride to the hotel was longer than I expected, but we were just glad to have a place to rest and we really do not have any complaints.....just some suggestions - cold beverages would have been nice." Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"This is a busy hotel which exists to service holiday pax via Gatwick with extensive parking. Front of house staff are mostly non-native English speakers so communication can be problemetic. My third stay. One room excellent, one room poor and this time room good. Some hassle over TV remote eventually fixed but only after I insisted. Overall pretty good for the price but do not expect 4 staff attentiveness" (3304949024)
Not my first visit-which speaks for itself. Hotel, bus service to Gatwick and vfm are what make me return. Those elements remain constant and attractive.
No remote for TV. First attempt by staff to find one that worked failed. Despirte a promise to return, they did not. Eventually after my second complaint it was fixed

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel was busy when we checked in, the staff were rushed off their feet and had a very difficult job, but they seemed to be badly trained, they were non-communicative, and inefficient. More staff would be useful, and they need better training. This is true both of the staff on the reception desk and the bar. The drinks at the bar are overpriced. The car park was extremely full, and with no obvious system as to where cars should be parked. We ended up parking the car in what appeared to be a farm, and are still not sure whether we were supposed to park there or not. However, the accommodation and parking is good value for money and the hotel is very convenient for Gatwick, with a shuttle bus starting earlier in the morning than most hotels, so I would consider staying there again when flying from Gatwick. I would recommend it only with a warning about the inefficiency of the hotel." (3304715131)
The accommodation itself was good, the room was clean, the food was good, the shuttle bus service was good.
There weren't enough staff and they weren't well enough trained.

The room was large with a large nicely equipped bahroom, the TV however was rather small and therefore rather difficult to view from the bed. We had the continental buffet breakfast rather than the full English and it was adequate but not brilliant. However, parking was free and the accommodation was very good value at the 'special offer' price charged." (3304734970)

Gatwick Worth Hotel, Crawley - Reviews & Ratings"I was pleased with my room. It had plenty of space and the ensuite facilites were excellent. They were not an 'add-on' feature like a small cupboard, but a decent-sized bathroom with facilities. My bed was comfortable and I was not disturbed during the night by noises from other guests. There was plenty of space in the room to move around and make yourself comfortable. I would definitely use this hotel again. The restaurant and bar provided decent meals on site as well, which was useful." (3304609690)

"Having stayed at The Gatwick Worth before I am familiar with the Hotel and its facilities and re-booking says that I am have enjoyed my previous visits. However I found that when I telephoned from the airport for the courtesey coach to the hotel the recepionist should have been more aware of the difficulty guests experience with regards to being able to hear what is being said due to background noise of the airport. It would be better if the booking reference for the coach was explained prior guest arrival - the receptionist spoke so quickly I had to ask the her to repeat it and wondered what it was for - other guests travelling on the same coach missed their reference completely which meant a delay in our leaving the airport for the hotel whilst the driver checked. This is only a small point, but when guests are tired and probably irriteble from travelling and their main priority is to get to their hotel and room with the least amount of fuss and effort, it is their first impression of the hotel service, and it is a negative one. Also a smile from the receptionist on my arrival would have been nice." (97897234)
Comfortable and clean. The restaurant and quality of food is very good. The staff are attentive and helpfull.
The bedrooms , ie carpets and wardrobe/desk etc are due for refurbishment.
