"Adequate for a two night stay." (107118969)

The room was spacious, clean and adequate. The bathroom was well equipped too.

Walls were thin. Next door occupants kept us awake into the small hours on the first evening. Someone obviously complained and it was o.k. on the second night. Pub rather tacky and not quite how it looked on the internet.

The rooms smelt of smoke. The towels were torn and on one there was an old blood stain. It was very noisy when the pub closed and the breakfast was ok but limited to between 9 - 10 am.

"The staff were very helpful and friendly and could not do enough to help within the physical limitations of the building. All the rooms are ground floor and flat access but awkward doors and corridors for a wheelchair. If it is to advertise as accessible for the disabled there needs to be at least one room with the facilities I have mentioned above. I was able to manage as I have some mobility with crutches but it takes a toll on my physical energy and pain levels. A friend of mine would have been less accommodating and would have checked out or created an unholy scene. BUT I DID enjoy my stay. It is very convenient for Chichester (literally walking distance of 5 mins)and the local coast - and the weather was great!" (97018672)

The room was very clean and well furnished. Food was VERY good. The wash basin in the bathroom was perfest for wheelchair access.

As a wheelchair user there was no access into the pub for check in or meals. One step without a ramp. I had to go from the accommodation to restaurant on crutches. The fire doors had very heavy springs and are difficult to manoevre whilst usind a wheelchair OR on crutches. The ensuite shower was impossible for me to use as the base tray was about 12 inches high and impossible to step into. The door to the bathroom was a little narrow for my chair and it meant that I scraped and damaged the door with the chair. Towel rail behind the door was difficult to access in such a small place with no room for a turning circle for the chair. Also there were no grab rails near the toilet or shower. On line booking it said there was a radio in each room so I didn't take mine, but there was no radio.

    "Excellent" (97214452)

The rooms were spacious and very clean. the breakfast was adequate and the staff were very friendly.

Just one quibble - entry to the accomodation block was by keypad. An excellent idea in itself BUT! in the hours of darkness the overhead light tended to shine on the metal keys in such a way that they could not be read. Not a happy situation when it was pouring with rain!

    "Pretty good." (108087848)

Friendly staff, decent room, free parking.

Breakfast - finished a little early, plates for cooked breakfast could do to be 'warmed', and fried eggs that were parked on a plate and on a cold area was not brilliant. Cooked breakfast just needed a little more care and supervision. Real coffee would have been an improvement.

"IT would have been nice to have had information re. where to sign in, for, although common sense led us to the bar, there was no welcome sign, or indication as to whom to approach." (97895214)

The room was clean and toilet area was cleaner than I have seen in many 3 star hotels.

The breakfast was served in the bar area and this was not as clean as one would expect.

"Clean and comfortable, reasonably priced, 'no frills' acommodation. Includes basic but full english breakfast. Lacks character, but good value and staff very friendly. Location very convenient if you don't want to pay inflated prices for city centre acommodation and don't mind being a 3 minte drive away from the centre." (108023239)

Room, bathroom, linen all very clean. Beds comfortable and plety of space for clothes, both hanging and shelving. Price very good compared to inflated city centre hotels, yet within a few minutes drive of the centre

Internet advert implies that this is pub acommodation with character - it isn't. No food being served on evening of our arrival as 'carvery has had a busy day and sold out'. This was surprising when the site encompasses a farm shop selling meat and award winning sausages, which clearly had a lot of fresh frozen meat in its glass fronted freezers.

Inn was 'tatty', in need of lots of 'tlc'. Room adequate. Door to room very difficult to use as top hinge nearly out of the door. Evening meal was poor. Only ate there one night as couldn't face another meal of that quality.

At the time we asked if there was any chance of an early one and were told no because the chef was uncontactable. Eventually there was an offer to collect milk and cereal from the bar the eve before, but as there was no fridge in room, we felt this was not an option." (97080186)

"This hotel did not measure up to what I expected when I booked online. The annexe was clean but did smell strongly of tobacco smoke even though it was a non-smoking area. The food was hot and presented fairly well although lacked variety. The breakfast at 8am had clearly been on the hotplate for some time although I was offered a freshly cooked egg without requesting it. Although I cannot pinpoint any one fault, the hotel was below the standard I had expected." (97815795)

"Bit dissapointing. Breakfast was not at all good. Must have been made at 7am when breakfast started. We arrived at 8.30 needless to say bacon was hard, sausages looked so greasy none of us had them, the tinned!! mushrooms along with the tomatoes were stone cold. Only the chef!! around no one else to really complain about it. Chef was only doing what he obviously is expected to do. I did ask for fresh toast because what was there was cold cardboard that hadn't been toasted well. Evening meal also dissapointing my scampi was undercooked and you would not expect to eat carrots, greens with scampi obviously left over vegs especially as I requested the lamb but they had sold out." (97606104)

Location was good. Bedding was clean but quilts (singles very small)

I booked and paid for one double and 1 single and when we arrived there were no doubles available. Bin noit emptied, milk moldy on try.
