Relais du Bois Saint Georges, Saintes - Reviews & Ratings"Restaurant was very very good, and not unreasonably priced. I would strongly recommend dinner or lunch there. Worth travelling for! Our stay was let down by the room .We visited in summer and it had been very hot for days ( no surprise in that part of France in July). We had a ground floor room with no window, but a narrow door leading to a little patio. The bathroom was very sub-standard especially for the price.Perhaps we were unlucky with the room selection but just not acceptable at the price.Will go back to the Restaurant someday, however." Very hard to find anything to like about the room other than well decorated.Pleasant patio.
Small, stuffy - no Air Con or ventilation - no window ( it was a ground floor room) but only a narrow door. Bathroom not up to standard and urgently required refit.

The Hotel setting is really nice, pleasant grounds to enjoy, a relaxed and peaceful venue with friendly and helpful staff. Very convenient for access to the main highways. A reasonably priced set menu for dinner.
Air-conditioning! It was stifling hot in our bedroom, unable to have door or windows open for ventilation as mosquitos are a problem. Breakfast far too expensive, at 20 euros you obviously don't want your visitors to take breakfast at the Hotel. The internet was out of action during our stay.

The food in the restaurant was much better than you described it. If one wants to feel important by gracious and efficient staff and enjoy very good food, then the Relais Du Bois Saint Georges is the place for you." (2661745)

There is also an indoor heated pool. We elected to dine at the Table du Bois, which is described as Bistrot de Luxe, rather than at the Restaurant Gastronomique. However, we were disappointed with the very limited menu. To our surprise, both of the restaurants are encompassed in the same medium sized room. Tables to be used for the Gastronomique diners have table clothes, those used by the diners at Table du Bois do not!! We found all the staff at this Hotel extremely helpful and accommodating." Comfortable room equiped with CD's/Player and selection of books. Overlooking lake and gardens.
Bathroom lacked shower screen/curtain, resulting in wet bathroom floor!

It is not cheap to stay at the hotel but it is worth the money. Many hotel rooms in France are small and dark. Our room was quite the opposite and we would warmly recommend anyone to stay here." à tous points positifs, avec un charme unique en plus. Un petit bijou. Un endroit de rêves d'où l'on repart avec une seule envie : y revenir très vite ! En plus de la magie de l'endroit, tout le personnel est accueillant et d'une amabilité rare. MAGÎQUE voilà le terme qui convient parfaitment à ce lieu

Mon mari etant tres grand il lui etait presque impossible d acceder a la salle de bain qui est voutee. Nous avons cependant eu la chance d etre reloge et notre deuxieme chambre etait parfaite" (3304812983)

Passage par la piscine pour aller trouver la chambre: l'odeur de l'eau chaude et relaxante, qui se reflète sur les poutres en bois et les colonnes en pierre sculptées. La chambre bien entendu magique. Le jardin confortable au soleil, relaxant la nuit (lumières douces habilement réparties). Bref: l'hotel vous offre tout pour être bien, à vous de savoir en profiter car telle sera la seule limite: vous." (2707502)

Très belle salle de restaurant, cuisine d'excellente qualité, mais à un prix astronomique (majorité des flacons au dessus de 100 EUR). Quelques détails indignes de la catégorie, pour exemple, le serveur, avenant et compétent, mais dont la chemise ne devait plus avoir vu le fer à repasser depuis un temps certain." (2485981)
