  Bed, linen, towels, toiletries, quality bathroom fittings

  lack of space to hand clothes, store luggage All signage in St Malo still call it the Albatross Hotel; we spent at least an hour looking for the Aubade but saw signs for the Albatross but we didn't know it was actually what we were looking for! Stumbled across the Aubade not much fun getting lost in St Malo when you've been driving for 10 hrs!!

  "Overall, cleanliness is good. For the money the room is basic and 10 minutes walk from the old city. A small improvement would be made if some drinking water or courtesy fridge was made available in the room and the strong smell of cigarettes throughout the hotel was lessened. " (107282506)

  Cleanliness good. Friendly staff.

  No access to courtesy fridge so will need to provide own drinks during the night. No person on desk after 2200 hrs; two guests arrived late and couldn't access the hotel. Hotel has a pungent smell of cigarretes akin to an ashtray, which wafts in under the room door. Room has very poor lighting and passage ways are as dark as a cinema. No cupboards.

  Staff were very friendly and helpful.

  The room was too hot at night, even with windows open. Some air-conditioning would be a good idea. Also, we felt that the hotel was expensive enough that breakfast could have been included in the price.

  "The hotel was in a convenient location for access to cross-channel ferry and for the Intra-Muros. It had been very recently renovated and was very clean and comfortable in all respects - beds and baths - and the unusual modern decor was extremely attractive and functional. Staff pleasant and helpful. Varied choice of good quality foods offered for buffet breakfast." (99587663)

  We were thoroughly delighted with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we checked in til the moment we left. The room was very modern, but very charming and French-like. Very spacious and clean. We were thrilled with the accommodations.

  The view from the hotel is not the greatest, but it is actually situated in a good spot. Very close to the beach/boardwalk, and a short walk to old city St. Malo.

  "The staff at the Aubade were very helpful and could not do enough to make my stay as pleasant as possible. The hotel was also conveniently located a short walk from St Malo old town which has a selection of excellent restaurants. The room were very modern, clean and comfortable and I would not hesitate to use this hotel again." (99813342)
