We were attending a graduation ceremony and requested an early check in. All went well, with no problems at all. The Italian restaurant adjacent to the hotel was good value, but noisy. Like us, many others were there celebrating!!
Other than the weather, none.

The Briar Court Hotel, Huddersfield - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel easily accessible from M62. Staff very friendly and efficient. Couldn't do enough for us. Bar & breakfast room very comfortable and restaurant next door had extensive menu. Easy access to Huddersfield centre. Very good value for money." (97005065)
Clean, well laid out and comfortable. Everything necessary was provided and felt if it wasn't all I had to do was ask.

The Briar Court Hotel, Huddersfield - Reviews & Ratings"We were welcomed by friendly staff who took an interest in the reason for our stay. They helped us to find the address we were looking for. On our departure a member of staff brought water for us to top up our radiator. We really appreciated the way the staff were approachable and helpful. It made us want to visit again." (97244004)
Our room was clean, comfortable and everything worked well.

The hotel was clean and tidy and the room well equiped. The breakfast included in the great price was fantastic and included hot and cold fresh food.
The television in our room had some colour problems.

the walls were a tad thin so we could hear the guests in the rooms either side going in and out of the rooms and into the toliets etc

The Briar Court Hotel, Huddersfield - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is in a great location, not far from the motorway therefore easy and quick to find, yet only a few miles from the Town centre, around £6 in a taxi and a lot quieter than in the town. More pleasant than chain hotels than many chain hotels I have stayed in, yet a reasonable price." (97788951)
Location, between M62 and Town centre, quiet at night, easy to find. Value for money.
The window was quite drafty. Otherwise good.

pleasing bright furnishings...TWO pillows each...wonderful.
a flannel in bathroom would have been nice. Unfortunately, the waste under sink was leaking, pool of water on floor, no maintenance as it was New Year. However, we collected water in waste basket..no problem. [staff did offer room change]

The Briar Court Hotel, Huddersfield - Reviews & Ratings"We had a enjoyable stay at the hotel. We noticed that from our last stay that breakfast is now self service. This is a good idea in as much as service is quicker than before. However we would have prefered to have tea/coffee served at the table. Also we found upon asking for a fried egg, we were served what appeared to be an egg made some time ago. (How hard is it to cook a fresh egg). The other products on offer at breakfast were we felt were of good quality." (97355980)
All amenities available, close to a very good restaurant
Accommodation satisfactory for the price

The Briar Court Hotel, Huddersfield - Reviews & Ratings"Overall a very nice value for money clean and modern hotel, the minor gripes did not detract too much from the overall impression. We will definately be staying again when visiting our northern inlaws." (99603580)
Hotel was attractive and far enough away from the motorway to avoid any noise. The breakfast was all very fresh and the self service layout was well thought out. The corby trouser press was very useful having just thrown my trousers into an overnight bag.
Minor gripes really. Reception staff did not volunteer information on check in, had to ask about breakfast times and location of restaurant. Wedding reception party tended to dominate the hotel but this did not really spoil anything. The bed was too soft for our liking.

The Briar Court Hotel, Huddersfield - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel restaurant only seems to serve breakfast. Evening meals have to be taken outside the hotel. Italian restaurant next door is very good and you can charge the bill to the room in the hotel. Bar in the hotel is a bit soulless - bar isn't constantly manned either. A nice hotel with very helpful staff but needs a bit more life." (99055951)
Clean, tidy and in generally good order

Friendly and cmpetent staff. Ease of access to both the motorway and the centre of Huddersfield.
There was nothing I 'disliked' about the hotel. However it would have helped tremendously if there was an internet site available. There was 'wireless' access to the internet in the hotel, but only if you brought a computer with you. We didn't bring our computer so we had to find a cybernet cafe in the city centre.

The hotel is in an excellent position near Huddersfield town centre and within easy access of M62 VIA J24
Despite having a booking ref: number for 2 rooms only 1 had been kept available, however the lady on reception soon found us another vacant room averting a possible problem .
