Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"Generally good. " (108445378)
The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast provided as part of package was very nice. Room service was prompt and excellent value for money.
Parking information was misleading - it was onstreet and only free from 6 p.m. til 9 a.m. the next day; telephone in room didn't work; smell from the heating system of burning dust; toilets in lobby were grubby.

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"Best staff in any hotel i've ever been to - they made our stay a special one for us. Thank you!" (108160823)
The staff at the hotel were the most helpful I have ever come across - they really couldn't do enough for us, they were so happy as well. They really did bend over backwards to help us and I would come back and recommend this hotel to others purely because the staff were so helpful. The resturant was also very lovely - helped of course by the fantastic staff! Thank you so much!
No bad points really - overall we had a great stay.

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"Would I stay at this Hotel again? Yes from the Hotel's standard of quality; but no, because of the lack of car parking. When one comes to a town on holiday, one parks the car and enjoys going around the local area on foot! I don't want to be paying the charges Hasting is making on park my car for a week or two - it makes a holiday additionally expensive " (107356040)
Well presented food at breakfast-time.Staff, particularly in the restaurant, were very clean in appearace and most polite.Hotel very clean and comfortable generally.
Lack of car parking facilities! With the high cost of street/car-park parking in Hastings, this can add a great deal of additional expediture to ones budgeted visit! As the "Slip-road" would not obstruct the main road, I cannot see why the local Hastings's Council make a chrge; surely parking charges are made to prevent ROAD/STREET congestion! I feel that this is a very mean chaarge! It would prevent ME from coming to Hastings again! I spoke to other visitors who made the same comment. So, Hastings Council, think about it - in the long run you are going to lose visitors, which will affect the general prosperity of the town.

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"Average, but wouldn't recommend the hotel to any of my friends or relatives." (107952805)
The breakfast and service was good.
The room was very tired looking in its decor. The view out of the window over the sea was lovely, unfortunately the double glazing had misted up between layers which spoilt the view.

Breakfast was good, room clean and tidy.
Quite noisy - none of the doors had soft closures so every entrance and exit was accompanied by a slam.

The catering staff were very helpful. The double room was big enought for the cot/three of us.
The room was very dirty overall, the windows in the bedroom & top bed sheet had not been cleaned for good knows how long. The Air con did not work in the shower room and the window was not very secure (lock was not very good).

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"the actual hotel and facilities were fine but the noise in our room from the nightclub spoiled the break for us." (107478277)
breakfast was good ,room was well serviced
unfortunately the nightclub under the hotel was very noisy also the view as of four wheelie bins and piles of rubbish during the day and people using the back of the hotel as a toilet or even more unsavoury things at night

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"I have stayed here twice now (in different rooms) and therefore I think it isn't a one-off experience anymore. The rooms are just very poor and dirty." (107861149)
Good location. Friendly and helpful staff. Easy to book online. Available at short notice. Clean sheets.
I thought these kind of hotel rooms were already a thing of the past. They might belong into "Fawlty Towers" but not in a 21st century hotel (whatever the price category). The furniture and equipment were apparently sourced from a 2nd hand shop some time in the 70s and have suffered a lot of abuse ever since. The bathroom can be summed up with one word: Dirty.

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"Typical (grotty) UK hotel. Far from international standards (except room rates...)." (107640563)
The hotel did not try to rip people off by trebling the room rates during the event (as so many others in Hastings did). Breakfast was available an hour earlier than normal because of the event.
There was a major event (Hastings Marathon) going on, with many of the guests competing in the marathon. The breakfast offered for this purpose was not adequate.

Chatsworth Hotel, Hastings - Reviews & Ratings"Ok for an overnight stay if the shower had been working properly. I expect I will book a different Hotel next year, however, if the Chatsworth was one of the only available Hotels near the Town, then I'd be happy to stay there. It's not that the Chatswoth is a bad Hotel. There's just better out there with hot showers!" (107899217)
Good position near Town Centre. Staff friendly. Was lucky enough to get residential parking and lucky enough to get a room on the 19th of October, booking at the last minute.
The shower was stone cold, even though there was hot water to the taps. This has been commented on in previous feedback left on other sites, so is disapointing that it has not been rectified. A warm shower is in important. The room was quite dark. The weak link in an otherwise enjoyable breakfast was definitely the sausages. Rubbery and flavourless.

GOOD STAFF ATTITUDE - EXCELLENT FOOD AND SERVICE FROM FRIENDLY STAFF.CAR PARKING NO PROBLEM.
THOUGHT DECOR WAS A BIT "TIRED" - A COUPLE OF LIGHTS NOT WORKING IN OUR ROOM BUT DIDNT CAUSE US A PROBLEM.ROOM WAS A BIT NOISY (OUTSIDE ROAD NOISE) BUT THEN WE DID REQUEST A ROOM WITH SEA VIEW SO NO FAULT OF HOTEL.

I was very disappointed as when I booked in, I ordered and paid for breakfast to be sent to my room at 8am, as I was leaving at 8.30am. By 8.15 it had not arrived, so I tried to call down, but the phone wasnt working in my room. Then I went to reception, explained, and they unhelpfully gave me the £3.00 they charged to have room service, but did not apologise and refused to refund anymore as the breakfast was complimentary, but as I was on a time scale, I missed out completely. I found the staff very unhelpful

"Overall, once we got the larger room it was a nice stay. Original room was way too small to be a double." (108995819)
Staff were very attentive.
Our room we booked originally looked to me like a single room. We wanted a double and fair enough we only paid 60.00 for the room but it was too small, so we asked to upgrade to a larger room and was told there wasnt one, we then asked for one with a bath and got what we thought looked like a double room. This was much nicer and larger. We dont undersand why we werent give this when we first asked.
