Première Classe Marseille Centre Ville, Marseille - Reviews & Ratings"If you are looking for a budget hotel with basic facility and in the centre of Marseille and you don't mind dirty street and noisy enviroment, then it's good for you." (99140820)
This hotel is quite basic but at a good location. The size of room is fine and the rate is attractive.
There's no air condition. If you open the window at night, it's too noisy. The street is dirty although it's not the hotel's fault.

Première Classe Marseille Centre Ville, Marseille - Reviews & Ratings"Great value for money for the room and breakfast in central Marseille. A bit of work done on the general cosmetic appearance of the rooms would improve the ambience a lot. Staff were efficient and helpful at check in and check out." (97389735)
Pricing of the room and the high quality breakfast. Secure car parking. Comfortable bed and clean bedding.
Internal piping, covered in fleece,in the corner of the room made it look shabby. Decor was also a bit grubby looking.

Première Classe Marseille Centre Ville, Marseille - Reviews & Ratings"IT WAS GOOD VALUE. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO KNOW IF YOU COULD HIRE A FAN." (99969582)
THE ROOMS WERE BASIC BUT SPOTLESSLY CLEAN. THE RECEPTION STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THERE WERE TEA AND COFFEE FACILITIES IN THE LOBBY. IT WAS WELL POSITIONED FOR METRO AND ALSO THE MAIN SHOPPING STREETS AND SEAFOOD RESTAURANTS.
IT IS NOISY OUTSIDE BECAUSE YOU ARE IN THE HEART OF THE CITY. BECAUSE IT WAS TOO WARM WE HAD TO LEAVE THE WINDOW OPEN WHICH MADE IT SEEM MORE NOISY.

The room looked clean and had a bathroom with bath and toilet. Sheets and towels looked clean too. The staff were always very polite.
No wardrobe. No fridge either. The room was small and extremely bland. Pale walls (not exactly white) and dark green doors. The bed was slightly smaller than a standard double. Bath towels were a bit small.

Première Classe Marseille Centre Ville, Marseille - Reviews & Ratings"I would definitely recommend this hotel. The staff were friendly, the room was good value for money, the location was excellent. Just make sure you download the map that shows exactly where it is before you leave!" (99889087)
It was definitely value for money and the location in Marseille itself was excellent - central but quiet at night, and the fact that the reception was manned 24/7 was a definite bonus.
The road it is on is so small, it's not on the tourist map. The directions were from the vieux port, and I got sent on a bit of a round trip trying to find it.

Première Classe Marseille Centre Ville, Marseille - Reviews & Ratings"I think it was a comfortable place to stay at a reasonable rate. The tourist info came in really handy as well. I was tired from a week of travel but otherwise I would have complained about the dirty items. The exit to the balcony would be better if tiled or at least with a rug so you don't have to put on your shoes." (3305123403)
The breakfast was nicely done, and the bathroom was very clean. The patio was also nice, and TV included is always appreciated.
I noticed a spot on my towels and when I was cleaning up before checking out, two stains on the underside of the bed cover. Also, a staffmember did a quick double knock on my door and barged in to give me my towels while I was half-dressed. Felt a bit inconsiderate.

Première Classe Marseille Centre Ville, Marseille - Reviews & Ratings"The breakfast was very good. Cheapper than in Saintes Maries de la Mer and with more milk and corn flakes and cake; here 4,95 Euro and ther 6,3 Euro. But the kindness of the staff made the none phone problem in the room to a extra service: I could ring to my husband in Denmark from the reception desk exceptionally and so he could return my call on the next night. The receptionist, named Jean - Fred is really friendly and help me through. Thank you, Jean!!" (3304687051)
Simple, adequate to my over next day come-back-home to Copenhagen. It was just what I needed.
There was no phone on the room. So that I must get very early to get my fly through Amsterdam (at 6:25 A.M.!)and be at the airport at least at five - and there was no possibility to be awake. Just knocking at the door, which I refused, because other guests were asleep at this time. So I keep me wake - sleeping

"What I said above. The accomodation was very basic compared to the price level. Marseille, or France in general, seem to be on the expensive side when it comes to food and accomodation. I live in Sweden, so that shouldn't be a surprise, but still it was." (99806309)
good location, very basic but acceptable for a short stay, good and helpful staff available 24 hrs
austere room, unfitted noisy door and window
