Coombe Cross Hotel, Newton Abbot - Reviews & Ratings"Was comfortable but the food was very very expensive for what it was and i had to provide my own soya/wheat free food stuffs!" (108038642)
The bed was new and very comfortable, which is a great plus point when you have a sever back problem.
Even though i only stayed one night, i was disappointed with the cleanliness of the bathroom, there was mould on the tiles. The bedroom had a damp problem which will escallate if not delt with!

Staff were great and verya ttentive especially in the dining room
the showers are very dated and the water pressure changeable meaning I burnt myself several times

the shower was very good and the room was clean and tidy if on the small side
the room was on the small side in the bathroom the shaving socket/light did not work.

Coombe Cross Hotel, Newton Abbot - Reviews & Ratings"For a 2-star hotel, this is excellent value for money. Room was clean & bright, plenty of hot water, and the dog was welcome to stay in the room, under supervision. Swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna, solarium and gym were all part of the package. English breakfast was good, and the evening meal, though from a limited menu, was well cooked and presented by courteous and efficient staff. Watching the sun go down over Dartmoor from our window before dinner was well worth the little extra we paid for a moor view room. I would highly recommend this hotel for a weekend break." Had on site car parking, facilities were explained well on arrival.
decor was poor in the room with paper peeling off and a lot of mould on ceiling . Mould around bath seals as well.

good sized rooms, clean, beautiful garden and location, spa was an asset to the whole package.
No gentle background music in spa especially, jacuzzi lukewarm. No remote control to T.V. this would benefit being on wall bracket.

The service was superb as was the service and food in the resturant at night. I wish that i had known about the leisure facilities available, free of charge, as i would then had taken advantage of them.
