Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"Would use again for a conference or shopping trip. Prices were doubled because of a few conferences in the area so would book again at the normal price." (97456190)
close proximity to railway station, shopping centre, easy to find by car
Room was very warm, not able to open any windows or able to adjust temperature. Bathroom very dated but okay for an overnight stay.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"The Hotel in general is friendly and welcoming. The bar area has nice decor and looks modern although it is situated in the main lobby of the Hotel. During peak times, this may cause a logistical problem. The Rooms although clean and well maintained are small. The overall layout of the Hotel is quite poor with a large distance between some of the rooms and the Reception / Bar / Restaurant area." (99515349)
The Staff were reasonably friendly, bar-staff in particular were prompt and polite.
Rooms were very small, overall Hotel layout was quite poor.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"When I booked the accommodation I asked for a double room. However when I arrived, late at night and tired, I was informed that the room I thought I booked was not what I was getting. Instead I ended up with a twin room. Allocation on Arrival was not mentioned anywhere on the confirmation that I printed out. I didn't make arrangements for the kids to be looked after and travel 2.5 hours to sleep in a different bed from my love. The room allocated was next to the lift and I had to spend the night listening to people saying good night as well as listening to the lift going up and down. The next day I asked to be moved. Luckily there was some people checking out so I was able to be accomodated in a better room and this time with a double bed. I think that this needs to be made clear or that if I book a room believeing it to be a double room then that is what I should get. I should not arrive and be told I had to sleep in a twin room. I would not have booked the room if I had known this in advance." (97439698)
Staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and it all felt very welcoming.
There is not much control over the air flow. Windows are heavy and huge which means that you can't let a little air in the room, you have to let a lot of air in.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"Better value and better experience than staying in private B&B's where the rooms are small there is only a shower and the atmosphere can be a bit old fashioned and sometimes nosey. I liked the privacy friendliness and efficiency of Park Inn." (99179819)
Big spacious room, big bed big bathroom big bath. Plenty of privacy. Nice atmosphere.

I would like to commend the lady on reception on Sat. afternoon around 3.30p.m. as she was able to make her own on the spot decisions and was very helpful, polite and accommodating using common sense approach which is always best. Very unusual in the UK now a days.

Really bad experience. 1 towel for 2 persons for 2 days. Apples offered at receptions had some sticky substance on them. Rooms smelled and over all, for the price I paid, I would have expected a lot more. I've had better service for half the price in a nearby inn at the Services!!

public areas were clean and tidy. Staff helpful and friendly. Swimming pool area untidy and in need of overhaul
our firt room was not fully cleaned. We had to ask for toiletries, robes etc. On second day we had to move rooms as the bed in the first one was completely broken in the middle and was very uncomfortable. Second room was very dusty but bed was far more comfortable. Rooms are shabby.

Staff were very helpful and courteous.
Room allocated had no view, was shabby and next to the lift shaft , we were upgraded to better room at no extra cost which helped. Dining: I requested gluten free meals but choice was extremely limited.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"I have stayed at this hotel numerous times to attend the Conference Centre. Very often conferences finish about 9 or 9.30 p.m. and it is extremely difficult to find a place to have an evening meal in the Telford area. Having stayed at another hotel where the dining room closed at 9 p.m. it was impossible to find a place to eat, and we had to wait for the night man to come on duty and prepare us a supper in room service, which we received about midnight. The bar at your hotel is open until 11 p.m. which is very good." (99761159)

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"All in all the hotel was sufficient for my needs, the rooms need updating and most of all painting! I found the breakfast staff a little rude, one of them demanded my room number without greeting me or showing me to a table, I was left to figure the rest out, ie tea and coffee coming from the machines etc. This i found a bit offputting. But overall the staff were helpful and polite, particularly in reception where several small problems were quickly and efficiently ammended. I think that in this day and age of free wi-fi access pretty much everywhere i felt that the charge for the internet was extortionate! For the cost of the room i would have expected it to have been included." (99522816)
The provision of leisure facilities
The rooms are a bit dated and desperately need repainting - there were lots of marks on the walls and the bathroom was a bit grim, needs a lick of paint all round!

(they dont open til 8.30 and conference started at 9am). I was disappointed with the lack of vegetables served with my meal. The menu said served with a selection but there was only cabbage (which I thought was onion so didnt try) The rest of my time in the hotel was very comfortable." (3305053738)

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"I think i just covered this above." (3304379400)
Over priced. Looks like all the room revenue is spent on the foyer and restaurant, not the rooms. Bed was extremely uncomfortable, the radiator is on all the time and causes the room to maintain a tropical state, the bathroom is below standard for the rate, i think i should stop here and say i wont be visiting again for any reason, better to travel long distances than to put up with such sub standard over priced accomodation.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"Have stayed at this hotel at least once a year in the past 4 years mainly due to it's good walking distance to Telford Ice Rink and Centre. It is a very spacious hotel. Right from the car park and into the building. Bar food and restaurant are good and reasonably priced. Have never had any cause to complain about anything during the stay, which has always been a minimum of two days." (3304200271)
Spacious room with 2 comfortable chairs to relax in whilst watching tv before retiring.
Bathrooms could be refurbished. If providing BBC News 24 why not just provide all freeview channels? Surely a plus to customers.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"It was very quiet - this did not matter untilthey started hoovering in the bar area well before the bar was due to close. When we complained however the staff were quick to stop. I do think that this hotel is good value for money overall however." (3304187147)
Easy to find, friendly staff, good food, ideal meeting place.
The leisure facilities are run by a privatev health club. there are children's swimming lessons on a Saturday morning so the pool is crowded and full of young children and parents (not ideal for leisure!) The bathroom was very dated and needed a refit. It smelt very musty - like a hospital! the room was on the ground floor. Also one of the blankets in cellophane wrapping needed a wash - again it smelt very stale.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"In the city centre, this was a good base for me to go about my business. On the whole better than I had hoped, and it was an enjoyable stay. Negatives are fairly minor, and could be easily rectified. Sunday evening checkin was good, Friday morning checkout was so-so, with a lot of business people leaving. Luggage store was in reception, with bags left in plain view and easily touchable when reception unmanned" (3304121194)
Bedroom was clean tidy and a decent size. Asked for an iron and Ironing board and it arrived only a few minutes later. Evening meals were good, and a nice wine selection.
Reception had overriding smell of chlorine for several evenings - I assumed from the pool. Bar area at night was dirty, especially on the Sunday evening - floor needed to be swept. Not a huge area for non-smokers, but have to admit that the smell of cigarettes competed somewhat with the pool. Price of resturant evening meals were not displayed anywhere (e.g. on menu itself) - this would certainly help, especially if someone was on a budget.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"Since the take over the quality has decreased. You pay too much for what you get in return." (3304109492)
The hotel upgraded standard rooms to crown rooms. I've stayed in these rooms before for less money as regular room. They asked me if I would like a newspaper in the morning which I did not wanted. Though each morning I got a newspaper. I had a beef burger from the pub. The burger came black from the grill and the sandwich obviously was warmed with the micro wave and was hard to chew.

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel advertises a spa facility. It would have been useful to know that they also let this area for children's swimming lessons. It is hard to use a spa when the pool is full of small children and mothers. The restaurant looks really good but the food is very disappointing. Breakfast looks great and probably is if you eat at 7am but by 9.30 is cold, so if you eat late stick to fruit and toast." (2979199)

Park Inn Telford, Telford - Reviews & Ratings"Saturday night was VERY noisy. Music group playing downstairs until 12:30 was annoying as were noisy people banging doors at 4 in the morning. Could hear noises from next-door bathroom whilst we were in bed early in the morning. Bathroom ceiling had been repainted and the maskinh tape had been left around the top of the tiles." (2590068)
Room was comfortable, and close to a lift. Close to station.
Food. Breakfast was very expensive and not particularly warm and missed the personal waitress touch for toast/coffee/tea etc. Other meals were OK but none of it was anything special.
