"Lovely quiet hotel with comfortable rooms. They provided a welcome snack when we arrived after a journey through very bad weather. It was lovely to have windows that opened. The bathroom was a super size. Everyone was as helpful as possible" (99492488)

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast

Bar of soap in the bathroom would be useful. Difficulty in drying hair and seeing in a mirror.

Convenient location, very pleasant grounds / garden, good car park. Clean, quiet and well equipped hotel with friendly and efficient staff. Excellent food and good value for money.

Nothing more than a rattling wardrobe door and a squeeky bedroom door!

Nice big room , comfy bed , great luxuries ,good light in bathroom .Good all round.

Only if being really nit picking , the bath water could have been hotter and cold tap didn't work very well. But still enjoyed a nice bath nonetheless.

The staff were very welcoming and the breakfast was lovely.Given the hot weather recently, an additional fan and more water had been put in the room too. We couldnt have asked for more. All in all a superb stay and will certainly be recommending Ash House." (3304944736)

Good clean hotel, nice grounds, very quiet.

Need curtains in the rooms that do not allow the light to flood at the crack of dawn.

"Found my stay pleasant and would like to stay again. I have some more work over the next few months in Yeovil and would enjoy being with you again. It would be even better if the wireless connection worked. Although I would book online (which I found easy enough), we have an administrator who usually books for us." (3304819779)

    Clean, tidy and peaceful.

Not having enough room to work comfortably on a laptop - would have liked a bit more room for papers, mouse pad etc. Not a dislike, more an inconvenience. I also followed the instructions for using the wireless broadband and could not access the system, but have had no problems elsewhere.

    Too many stairs, no bide',

"Overall a very pleasant stay at a hotel with considerable character and charm." (3304746592)

Comfortable room with good facilities including small balcony and pleasant view over gardens

Service at breakfast rather slow, but not enough to present a singnificant problem. Would suggest perhaps self service for fruit juice, cereals with table service for cooked items.

"This was a lovely hotel ran by the owners, excellent service that managed to be very personalised. The decor was superb and in line with the period of the property. Breakfast was so efficient, friendly and fresh - made a huge change from the normal chains I stay in - I will certainly be returning to this hotel. The owners need congratulating on what they have achieved." (3304305034)

A stunning hotel that was a true home from home with perfect service that was always on hand yet never intrusive. Lovely location, easy to find, excellent food and best of all - no television in the lounge!

"Directions to the hotel fell a little short, but wasn't a major problem. Cooked breakfast presented on the plate was well cooked, but looked rather a small portion. Priced very much at the top end of market I would suggest, so has to offer top quality in all respects. Initially I wanted to spend less but was unable to see what I wanted on the site that was available over the bank holiday weekend. I would recommend the hotel but would point out price as well." (2335699)

Unique and individual - not part of a hotel chain with same rooms and furnishings

Small point but the long life milk in rooms for tea making affected the taste of the tea. I've had better elsewhere generally.

"Ash House is a lovely old grey stone building in which we had a fine and spacious attic room with a proper bathroom. The host was courteous and friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our short stay. Our only suggestion for the future would be to make the evening menu, including wine, more vegetarian-friendly, and to provide freshly- squeezed orange juice for breakfast. Strongly recommended!" (97542472)

Friendly host; comfortable attic room - interesting space and decent-sized bathroom. No dogs allowed.

Nothing really - wine and food not yet sufficiently geared to vegetarians
