Excellent view from terrace of Les Tommeries restaurant: good quality of food with some dishes outstanding: excellent wine list - not as expensive as many hotel restaurants of similar style. Breakfast expensive but not overpriced in view of range and quality of food provided. Will be returning next year we hope!" (3304037140)

A very impressive Chateau in a lovely location.
Fitness equipment was limited. A running or step machine would have been ideal.

It markets its own (and expensive) wine, and the standard of its restaurant is excellent. The Chateau also claims status as a spa and fitness centre, although its gym/ swimming facilities are limited. The standard of service is first class. Alsace itself is an area that retains its own character and still offers an escape from the trappings of other tourist destinations in France. Overall, a good choice for those seeking quality." Château D'Isenbourg, Rouffach - Reviews & Ratings"We will upgrade our room next time so that we stay in the chateau itself rather than one of the rooms in the grounds. However, we liked the place very much. We were particularly impressed by the amount of outdoor seating areas : the lawn near the pool, the bar terrace, the breakfast terrace - and we had the most lovely dinner sitting on the restaurant terrace overlooking Rouffach. We also thought it was very good value indeed." (2502369)

Staff spoke excellent English which was a big help. Breakfast was very good - it may seem expensive, but we found it was worth the cost as we did not need to eat again until evening! Dining room view was particularly outstanding and the food almost as good!" (1646727)

Padded walls made it difficult for curtain retainers to stay attached to walls - they kept falling out! (this is a very minor issue!)

Château D'Isenbourg, Rouffach - Reviews & Ratings"We stayed at this hotel on an Escapade a Deux package that included the room, flowers, a five course dinner with different wines to suit each course and an extensive buffet breakfast. The room was very comfortable, the food was excellent and the wines served with it were of good quality. The facilities (pools, sauna, etc.) at the hotel were also good, although we didn't have time to make use of these. However, the most impressive thing was the helpfulness and attentiveness of the staff. We were welcomed by a friendly receptionist who showed us to our room. Luggage was dealt with. Drinks were brought to us in the garden. We were escorted to the restaurant in the evening and the waiting staff were exceptional. This was well demonstrated when, as a storm was approaching, they progressively moved people from the terrace into the restaurant at convenient points in their meals, then unobtrusively dashed around outside to get tables cleared before the storm set in, only to return to the restaurant to serve us in a calm and friendly manner. The whole thing was so well orchestrated I felt like applauding them! This is a hotel we look forward to visiting again, perhaps for a longer stay next time." (2219417)
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the size and quality of the room and the quality of the food and wine in the restaurant. The building and grounds are also impressive and well cared for.

This chateau hotel is excellent in every way. If you want to forgo the charms of the first class restaurant, the nearby interesting town of Rouffach can provide all you need.

Château D'Isenbourg, Rouffach - Reviews & Ratings"I loved being able to open the windows and smell the fresh air. I loved looking out on the vineyards from the spa. The relaxed and welcoming atmosphere of the Chateau made me feel very comfortable and I came away rested and refreshed. The members of staff were attentive but not hovering. The rooms and the patio and balconies were left open and available. If one of us felt like reading in the salon, the other could wander out onto the balcony, have a glass of wine and just gaze out over the Alsace. We had a torrential rain storm in the night and in the morning I enjoyed chatting with staff members - their friendly sharing of their own surprise at the storm was delightful. At various intervals I found myself talking with staff and discovered that they came from all over France, yet they all admitted to falling in love with the Alsace. I think they enjoy their work too. That speaks to a good manager, and a good working environment for them. Congratulations!" (1341744)
Marvellous view from the spa - wonderful grounds and attendance to small details such as someone rushing out to place cushions on our chairs outside and a white table cloth. Outstanding breakfast.

Cadre très agréable. Infrastruture offrant la possibilité de passer de très bons moments. Personnel professionnel, agréable,dévoué et à l'écoute des besoins de la clientèle (sans même que ces besoins n'aient besoin d'être exprimés). Lors de ce séjour l'une de nos fille fêtait ses 12 ans. Nous avions demandé (le matin même) à ce qu'un bouquet soit placé dans sa chambre à son attention : il était superbe et ne nous a pas même été facturé ni même le petit déjeuner du lendemain matin.
Franchement aucun point négatif à notre goût.

"A good stay but overpriced for the facilities. Room in need of refurbishment." (108262501)
Good spa and swimming pool. Good restaurant also.
Bedroom was fine but separate from main chateau which was a shame. The bathroom was poor especially the shower. Towels were old also. There were, in addition, noisy builders outside our room which was frustrating when we were hoping for a lie in.
