The Location is perfect for exploring the town and surrondings, the ambience of the hotel and the superb support from the staff and the owners throughout our stay made our visit even better. Great Breakfast choice.

extremely helpful staff- could not ahve had a better service - especially Redvic (apology if spelling is incorrect)
Disgareement in relation to the offer on the internet for direct bookings- I was unabe to get a direct line on the web site (agency) and realistically who who ever think that there would be a better deal on another web site. I think this was unfair and discriminated against guests. ( it's not the botlle of champagne it's the principle I was upset at)

Excellent service and very welcoming staff. Good breakfast with lots of choice. Clean room with modern facilities. Good parking on site. 15 minute walk to town centre.

Lovely room with comfortable bed. Good breakfast with plenty of papers and magazines. Staff really friendly." (97175236)
decor, cleanliness, quality of breakfast, comfortable lounge, good selection of papers, friendly staff
trust bar closed at 10.30 and would have liked a nightcap!

Lovely Staff; very helpful. Rooms immaculate and comfortable.
Not a bad point but it is a healthy walk into town (Montpellier end of town) approximately 1 mile (ish)

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"Only just passable for the price." (97538388)
Not what we were expecting, from the whole description when we booked.
The description or view from room was not correct. There was no restaurant for evening meals and generally the whole description was wrong and we were expecting a hotel and ended up with a Guest House!!!! Noisy room, road traffic.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"We have stayed in many hotels especially recently but the Beaumont House Hotel outclasses any others both in terms of the comfortable, quality accomodation and also the wonderful service given by the staff. We would definately stay there again, and congratulate the owners on a treasure of a hotel." (99108285)
Everything about the accomodation was first class from the bed linen to the bathroom fittings.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel and guests were very unfortunate in that a local cable broke cutting the electricity supply for 8-9 hours from about 8.00pm Friday -4.30am Saturday. I don't have a car, a member of staff told me there were several restaurants just up the road. They were not restaurants but very ordinary town pubs. But both the room and breakfast were very good." (97081944)
The room although narrow was well appointed, the equivalent of a 4 star hotel room.
The hall which served as a reception area needed to be a little more glamorous to match the hotel's 5 star guesthouse status

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"Fantastic. When you book hotels nowadays on the web too many places are overhyped and generally overstate their standing. The Beaumont House was a welcome break from this in that the staff were attentive and friendly, the rooms were stylish and clean and well appointed and breakfast was excellent. If staying in Cheltenham I would definitely stay again as this small family hotel puts many large hotel chains to shame." (97764083)

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"Very dissapointing as your reviews gave a different impression of what we received." (97904722)
lovely big bathroom
room very small and not on the ground floor as advertised but up three flights of stairs so was very difficult for my wife who is dissabled, told there were no rooms on the ground floor in this hotel. Room very hot and stuffy, found it hard to beathe and didn't sleep at all well. hot breakfast brought to the table while still eating cereal. Most definetly would not go there again. I would say it was a guest house and certainly not a hotel.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"With the exceptions of the problems caused by exceptional weather conditions the hotle and its staff were faultless." (97202098)
Presentation of African themed room, cleanliness, relaxed atmosphere.
Very windy during the night and we suffered from noise with wind blowing through extractor fan in bathroom which constantly rattled - if we shut bathroom door the door would shake in its framework and be noisy and the window in the room wasn't airtight and therefore window dressings were constantly on the move and this also made sleeping hard.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. the food was first rate, the room was a tad on the small side for the length of stay(our shower room had a door stop which was not well placed) but they do have larger rooms which we may look at if we stay again. Overall a very pleasant few days, thank you." (99423269)
spotlessly clean
A little on the small side for the lenght of stay, we would have prefered extra seating (only one chair) instead of sitting on the bed. Also more wardrobe space.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent hotel with prime location for day-tripping in the Cotswolds. The room & common areas were clean & spacious, with great amenities. Breakfast was wonderful, with good choices for a variety of different tastes & diets. Off-street parking was also a good perk. The only downside is the lack of a lift, which could be problematic for those with limited mobility. The staircases were wide enough that luggage was no problem. Overall we felt it an excellent value for our money & would stay there again." (99692690)
Clean, modern room with excellent amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful.
The driving directions were not helpful for someone unfamiliar with the town. Once in town, we had to call for directions, as the landmarks given were difficult to spot driving at speed.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"On arrival we had a warm and friendly greeting. Checking in a breeze. The Hotel on first sight was, Oh it looks lovely! and it was.Our room was Number 11 on the very top floor, the King Size Superior room. The King Size means the bed ! The room itself and everything in it was to the highest standard, even fresh fruit sat on its own little holders. A little mini bar which i thought was fairly priced. Gorgous locally bought shortbread in the room to have with your tea or coffee. The breakfast was fantastic, what a choice! Everything from cereals, continental, full English, scrambled eggs and salmon (YUMMY!), and the list goes on. Set you up for the day i can tell you. I looked through the Guest book and couldnt find one single grumble." (99351371)
We thought the standard of this hotel was excellant and would not hesitate to recommend it or stay again. The breakfast was the best i have ever had, the staff polite and helpful. The Hotel clean and quite.

The room was excellent. The staff bent over backwards to accomodate food requirements in the evening and breakfast. Evening meal facilities would be lovely, especially for people staying on their own who don't want to venture out. Even hot and cold room service would be fine if not restaurant facilities.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"Tt reminded me more of a guest house than my idea of a hotel. The hotel only provides breakfast so you will need to go out for evening meal, but there are a few restaurants within walking distance. The bar is a trust bar in the lounge and it closes at 10.30 pm. The prices are hotel mini-bar type prices. The standard of breakfast is good (but I think the dining room could get crowded when the hotel is full). Generally, I felt the owners had tried hard to anticipate the needs of guests and there were some nice touches such as the coffee machine and board games in the lounge. Very pleasant atmosphere. I think it is a little over-priced considering its limited range of facilities, but otherwise it's difficult to find fault with this hotel." (99896519)
The room and bathroom was very clean and equipped and furnished to a high standard also the bed was very comfortable. Fresh milk was available for tea/coffee making in room which really scored points with me. The lounge is pleasant and comfortable. Very quiet. LCD TV in bedroom with freeview. Staff friendly and attentive.
The room was a bit on the small side and being in the basement, didn't have much of a view but it was clean, bright, pleasant and cosy. Would have liked the lounge/bar to be open a little longer, say 11.00 pm.

recently renovated with clean modern furniture and bathroom, great flatscreen tv
i had booked a double room for myself, paying a slightly higher single rate, the room was quite small, and would have been too small for two people

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"This guest house is perfectly situated for a stay in Cheltenham. There's enough parking and the town is a pleasant 20 minutes' walk away. The owner and staff are all very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast room is rather too small to accommodate all guests and on 2 mornings we had to wait while others finished their breakfast. The staff were apologetic, polite and helpful and offered us tea, coffee etc while we waited. I especially liked the lovely big bath in our bathroom and it was nice to have a bathroom with some space. Really good hairdryer, and not fixed idiotically to the bathroom wall or inside of the drawer - some large hotels chains could take note." (99874381)
Clean, modern, lovely bathroom, good facilities & attention to detail.
Bedroom was small and the scatter cushions and quilted bedcovers, while attractive, were of no use, and we had to find somewhere to put them! It wasn't really feasible to sit at the dressing table as the bed got in the way of the chair.

Beaumont House, Cheltenham - Reviews & Ratings"We stayed in the Out of Africa room, which was decorated in a 'fun' style. The TV and DVD are excellent and to have fresh milk in the minibar for use in tea and coffee is a thoughtful touch. The bathroom was spotless, well decorated and with a whirlpool bath and splendid (and easy to use) shower. I would certainly recommend this hotel, and will stay here again myself." (99622793)

"We would definitely go back to this accommodation again. The staff went out of their way to answer any questions asked and made us all feel very much at home. The attention to detail was very welcomed." (99562354)
The Hotel was maintained to a very high standard. Cleanliness of all areas was excellent, and the staff were very helpful and attentive. Very good parking area with plenty of space. The food was very good with a wide choice, and the guest lounges were very comforting, with the tea/coffee machine in the conservatory very much appreciated.
Only slight fault was the lack of a lift for the elderly person in our group, although the owner apologised for this when we arrived, explaining that the age and layout of the house made it very difficult to fit one. The access to the rooms was either downstairs or upstairs making it unsuitable for most disabled people.
