Hostal Plaza D'Ort, Madrid - Reviews & Ratings"I would not recommed this hotel. Although the location is good, very central, the cost/benefit ratio is not good. The room was too small and there was a strong smell of cigarettes. The sheets were never changed during our stay. The bed was very uncomfortable and there wasn´t enough air circulation. There were no elevators wich was awfull with all of the luggage. You had to ring a bell to get into the room." (97819349)
The bathroom was recently reonovated and was very good.

Friendly, helpful staff, traditional style of the building
noise from other guests, but this was not too late into the night. Noise from street was loud most nights, but I did not feel overtly disturbed

Very good and clean hotel in the center of Madrid. Excellent tapas bars and pubs around.

"The fact that there were so many steps to climb and that no lift was available. The fact that the bedroom window was boarded up. I asked for a quiet room, which it was until the workmen started hammering and shouting at 9am!" (97074986)
The location was superb.
Dragging a heavy suitacase up 42 steps to get to reception was awful! We could not open the bedroom window, it was boarded up. They were renovating the outside and workmen were outside the window at 9am each morning.
