Very friendly. Good parking. Handy for my purpose. Comfortable "hard" bed.
I could not get shower to work properly, but a cold spray was probably good for me. The tube that it fits on is loose.

Two problems with room:- (a). For some reason there was no wardsrobe or clothes hangers (b). No remote control for television

hair dryer either didn't work or wasn't clear as to how it worked. I presumed it started when removed from wall bracket, but as I didn't need it, it didn,t matter....!

Facilities in the room and public areas were spotlessly clean. Location and parking very good.
Small room, no hanging wardrobe space and windows set too high in walls to see out or open for ventilation.

Very well refitted
Breakfast from 0730 is too late when attending a show at B&W Show ground. Hotel was full and kitchen was unable to cope and our breakfast wasnt served until gone 0800. No fried Bread and only one rasher of bacon is poor. Payment should be taken off card at reception not 48hrs in advance. It makes it difficult when one person books for a group

Value for money
Apparent lack of true concern for guests. Because of this, the 9 of us went next door for dinner Friday and Saturday and lunch on Sunday. We drank there too. It seemed too much trouble for late arrivals (20:30) to be considered for food on Friday evening.

Map directions not clear for coming from different direction. First impressions of car park off putting but room made up for it

We won't have to go there again.
Unhelpful miserable staff; scruffy room and public areas. Sunday breakfast finished at 9.00am. Breakfast poor.

Evening meal - Not delivered as requested - New Potatoes orderded - chips delivered. Steak tough and gristly. Plates cold. Breakfast - 1. 1 egg + 1 slice of bread - 2 delivered 2. No eggs ordered - 2 delivered. All eggs overcooked

The room was a good size
We were not warned about the amazingly loud kareoke in the bar directly under our room from 9am to midnight on Friday night. We needed to be up early on saturday to work & had been working on friday & were very tired. The noise made sleep / watching TV impossible.

good food clean room
bar staff need training they should know if you book on line your money is taken from your account automatic i end paying twice and i think they missed some bits of my food bill even though i had booked a room and table about a month before we had to move three time to accomadate others who had just booked that day toilet did not work properly ,shower valve broke, no tv remote

Breakfast staff very good, very friendly. Bathroom refurbished and good.
No hot water - shower turned to maximum and only tepid water.

rooms next to main road very noisy ask for one at back. Breakfast chef starts at 7.30 so breakfast 8.00 not 7.30

Clean rooms recently refurbished. Staff friendly.
Room cold, radiators not working and despite mentioning this nothing was done about it. Towel radiator in bathroom completely inadequate to heat bathroom. It was May and although rather cool I would not like to use the bathroom on a really cold day

The Highwayman Inn, Shepton Mallet - Reviews & Ratings"We had to book in for a family wedding in Glastonbury and we were anxious to be as near as possible to the wedding. As it was we were not too far from there and as we were only staying one night the stay was reasonably good. However breakfast although delicious was a bit hit and miss with knives missing and no white bread for toast. This was not insurmountable but could have been better organised." (97190027)
Hotel was friendly and accomodation was acceptable
I payed for the two rooms that I had booked the member of staff pulled it up on the screen. I was charged the correct price only to find that my brother in law had already payed for his room the day before and it was only a chance comment that made us realise that we had payed for one room twice. There was no question about the refund but if it was all on the screen how could a mistake like that have happened.

the bathroom was good and quite large, hairdryer and heated towel rail, and full breakfast included ,
we thought the room with the bed in was small and the windows were high up so we had no view, some of the staff seemed very inexperienced ,
