Very pleasant setting and close to most things going on in the area. Food good and hot!
Parking - very few spaces adjacent to hotel other parking at some distance, pain in rain, and cars covered in tree/bird droppings!

We were very pleasantly surprised indeed by what we had assumed would be a standard hotel in the Best Western chain. The Penmere was a individual high quality hotel. Penmere Manor is very comfortable and quiet set in beautiful surroundings. The facilities are excellent, our room was pleasant and very clean. The food is excellent and enjoyable without being extreme in flavour. The staff are courteous and helpful.
Slight problem with long delays serving breakfast on one morning. When the food arrived it was very good. As we were not under time pressures, it did not really matter.

kind staffs, clean and delicious breakfast, quiet and clean room, beautiful scenery around hotel, etc
some unpleasant smell in the course of corridor, wall gas heater not working. That's it.

Best Western Penmere Manor Hotel, Falmouth - Reviews & Ratings"We enjoyed out stay. We found the room to be clean and have all the facilities we wanted. Overall a good, friendly manor hotel with nice gardens in a good location. Need to go further a field for bars and resturants as Falmouth town is no great." (97554548)
It had good facilities and amenaties, including swimming pool, hot tub, gym, bar and resturant and it was close to a lot of the main places to see in that part of Cornwall.
It was quite old fashioned, a lot of the decoration and bath room was in a little need of modernisation. It took 10 minutes to get the bar maid to open a bottle of wine so that I could buy a glass because she didnt want to go over to the other bar to get the bottle, after she had given me the wine list and knew there were none of the wines open, so she would of had to anyway. The resturant was quite expensive but worth a meal as the food and service is good.

traditional hotel with nice surroundings
not overly impressed that you cannot go into the restaurant in my jeans and smart shoes. had to eat in the bar.

Staff were very friendly, rooms were of a good standard and leisure facilities are of good quality should you need a gym or pool throught your stay.
The service for breakfast was very slow. It took 45mins from order to service.

I was really quite disappointed. The accommodation promised so much, yet failed to deliver.
I found the hotel to be shabby and in need of significant refurbishment. The decor; the carpets; the bar; the lobby; the bar.....all are in need of some work. The room, though generous in size was really quite dirty and unpleasant.

V. friendly, welcoming. Good restaurant, good location. Speedy and efficient staff. Relaxing atmosphere.
Nothing - just struggled a bit with directions (from multimap.com) although found in the end. Not really a problem.
