"Adequate facility considering the price,... " (107979495)

Convenient location for central London, good value for money, courteous staff

While adequate - generally a bit shabby, poor standard of some fittings ie lights - with wires showing and a strange aroma in shower-room?!!...

  • 6/10 Anonymous ( Mature couple)

The staff wait until midnight when we checked in

The LCD TV had a very narrow view angle, most times loos like a negative film from the bed.

"Very expensive for bad hotel. " (107504432)

The major plus point for this hotel is the location near the Kings Cross train station.

The most offensive was when a hotel employee barged into the room, without knocking and after seeing me in the room, continued to come in. The hotel is dirty, the locks are broken, the room felt unsafe (both from the outside and inside). The shower is a small room with no towel hanger or soap dish.

Very close to king cross tube station

    Very small room

"The overall staying was Good, but I would strongly recommend you to improve at little bit more the Shower area." (107317236)

The Location is pretty good, right on the King's Cross Tube station, has helped us very much mainly because of the raining days/nights. The Breakfast was also pretty good.

The Bathroom is pretty much small mainly the shower area. The shower water spreads out to all over the bathroom, because theore is no shower box. The watter was not heated all the time, nor the room inside heater equipment. Should have some, two at least, towels hangers to put the used towels to dry it fast.

"Would not recommend this hotel. Especially for more than one night stay." (107333393)

    Quiet Breakfast good.

Window had to be held open with coke can. Shower awful, dirty, no hot water, not really a shower just a drip. Grafitti on door saying "Thieves" Television remote held to together with tape. Damp above door. Just not the normal quality of a bed breakfast in this area.

We were not able to stay at the Begrave Hotel, due to no lift. I have had a knee replacement 2 months ago and was unable to use stairs. We were sent to the Eoupeante Hotel near the Begrove/ So all of the coments are for that hotel

65 pounds a night was a bit pricie for the very small room. The housekeeping people need to have some retraining on making up a room.

Could leave luggage over day when leaving London in the afternoon. Could also deposit luggage when having one night stay out of the hotel.

Could have breakfast even earlier for travellers as us who left with first tube both Saterday and Sunday to appointments far away.

I found continental breakfast quite acceptable, one sort of cheese, one sort of bacon, 2 juices, 4 sorts of corns, milk, toasts, different jams and pastes, tea, coffee...

if u can't stand street noise ask for room with courtyard view, otherwise u will have to listen cars' beeps, accidental talks etc.

Well located to the train stations. Room was clean. Although the ensuite was old it was clean. The breakfast was a good start to the day.

No lift so keep your luggage light. Get into the shower early so you get hot water it runs out early. We had a few cold showers. Bring your own ariel if you want to watch tv. The reception in non existant.

very nice breakfast. staff were diligent in their tasks and as accommodating as possible.

room directly across from my room had very noisy occupants. Very loud talking at 3:15 am which continued even after I requested quiet. Also discussions back and forth at 5:30 a.m. Could be a staff accommodation?

"OK for an early start on Eurostar - we left too early for breakfast, needing to be at check-in for 7.30 am. " (107195425)

Clean bedding. Reception OK once I had paid but frosty until then.

Dark, dated and torn decor, poor exterior view (including beer cans that had been thrown away - by other guests?), shower OK and enough towels but water did not drain away , probably due to blocking with human hair - a simple job.

Room was clean, en-suite with shower. Staff were friendly. Cheap at

Quite noisy. I was on the ground floor near the entrance, so could hear people coming in and out in the night. Also quite a bit of noise from the building behind the hotel. The shower head was a bit broken but still worked. Breakfast was limited - cheap cornflakes, toast and cooked breakfast. Food was cooked, then left out for a while before being replaced by fresh items.
