  Peaceful countryside setting but easy access to the Town. Pretty setting and grounds well maintained. Dogs are welcome and there is ample space to walk them.

  "The hotel is a great place to stay, however, the poor quality of the food service lets it down. Given the countryside location it is difficult not to eat in the hotel, especially at breakfast, but the local taxis into town are not expensive and you can learn a lot about Jimmy Saville from the drivers!"   The room was very comfortable and of a good size complete with a lovely view of the countryside. The furnishings and layout were very nice and the bathroom was good sized and clean.

  "Set outside Scarborough in a rural area with beautiful views from the rooms we had. The bar area was very welcoming and the meals both in the evening and at breakfast were of a very high standard. Good quality food cooked very well and the staff were excellent. Would go again as the comfort offered by the rooms was excellent - a very relaxing stay." (97037042)

  "Beautiful hotel in fantastic setting with acres of garden only a very short distance from the town centre. Would certainly stay again in in that area. The staff were very helpful. The breakfast was excellent and well presented." (97975795)

  The room was extremely comfortable and large with a very modern bathroom.

  Nothing really just a couple of small points the onoly plug to plug in the hardryer that was near a mirror was the one for the TV which was very awkward to reach and I would have preffered a king sized bed!

  overall everything was superb

  bad smell in bathroom, coming up the plugholes. could do with a more down to earth restaurant menu, you would get more people in the restaurant

  "Too tired to enjoy it properly having done the Lyke Wake walk beforehand. Overall very favourably impressed and good value for money. Its worth putting up with the bird muck from the swallows nests, they are a nice touch." (97389456)

  Good friendly service. Nice big rooms. Clean. Good breakfast and good breakfast service.

  Hotel is quite difficult to find. Would it be possible to get some brown signs put up? You could also do with a proper directions map on your website. Last orders for breakfast at 9:30 is a bit early particularly for post Lyke-Wake recovery.

  Staff very helpful, peaceful & attractive location, beautifully presented delicious food

  Rooms cold on arrival & no explanation of heating system, had to work it out for ourselves. mirrors in bedroom badly positioned for Ladies trying to do hair/makeup.Poor soundproofing between floors in bedroom
