The room was on the small side but was comfortable, clean and quiet. The staff were friendly and breakfast was very good. The pub itself was very nice and we ate there 3 nights and were quite happy with the food and drink. There is also ample off-street parking

We could not fault the Kings Arms. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, the food, both evening meal and breakfast, was absolutley delicious - the best rib of beef we've had for a long time. We had a massive bed, very comfortable and the room was well equipped with tea/coffee making facilites, hairdryer etc. Lovely, powerful shower and all the complimentary toiletries you would need.

The inn has a good pub with real ale and great food. Nice staff. Beautiful garden. Cosy appartment. Peaceful place conveniently situated near M4.

Could not really impose any criticism, but would say that it may be catering for a certain variety of people given the price. This was a very indulgent luxury for us and therefore unlikely that we would be able to afford to stay here again anytime soon - more's the pity!" (107431853)
Excellent venue. Beautifully preserved building with sympathetic restoration.
Not particularly cheap. Couldn't afford as a young couple with a young family to stay very often, but having said that I would expect to pay a reasonable amount to stay at a hotel with as much class as this.

Room was lovely and clean, staff member who showed us to our room was very friendly and helpful. Wonderful breakfast provided.
Small leak evident in the bathroom ceiling, although this was not a major problem and we were told that it would be checked out once we had reported it to a member of staff.

Well decorated and food was good.
Outrageous interpretation of cancellation of our first night that Wednesday afternoon for Friday night did not constitute 2 days notice as required - we were told it would need to be Tuesday!!! Due to the popularity of dining we had trouble getting a car park. Went to the bar at 5 past 11 and were told we couldn't get a drink, even as a house guest, as last orders were at 11pm. Breakfast not available on a Sunday morning until 8:30am.

Friendly staff. Good food and nice atmosphere.
As the central heating was off, we asked for a portable heater. Asked again next morning but all spare heaters were in the self catering apartments. Also, room was not cleaned during our two night stay.

Congratulations to you all! The hotel and the room were clean, comfortable and exceeded all expectations. The meal was superb too. The traffic was quite loud on the main road, and closing the windows didn't really stop the noise. Also, we were right next to the pub sign which was very squeaky in the wind. I appreciate there is not a great deal that could be done to improve this, I'm not nit-picking, they are the only negative things I could think of!" (97534808)

The room was bright and plainly furnished and with nice clean bathroom, comfy bed. Plans to re-furbish rooms in very near future.
The room was at the front and therefore did suffer from some traffic noise. There is secondary glazing but if kept shut, there is no fresh air! Not sure of how to overcome this one.
