"This was a flying visit (12 hours in total), but I was warm, comfortable and felt welcome." (107835130)

Good sized bedroom with wardrobe, easy chair and dressing table, nice big firm bed, decent sized bathroom.

Convenient location for my weekend appointments in Chesterton

    Breakfast was greasy but plentiful

"We would have liked to stay here again, but unfortunately the service let it down." (107390700)

Hotel and surrounding area was lovely, and the room was perfect.

Restaurant was appalling. Food was very disappointing, and the waitress service was dire, including scraping our plates in front of us! Not what we expected for £25 per head. Breakfast wasn't much better. Very overpriced for what it was, and food was tasteless and not cooked properly.

"I made a reservation online late in the evening. A few hours later (in the morning), just before I left for my flight, I realized that I made a reservation in the wrong part of England. I immediately attempted to cancel my reservation but since it was within 24 hours of check-in I was charged the full amount for my room. Your lack of understanding and sheer greed is disgusting to me and I will never stay in another Best Western again. I will dissuade my colleagues and friends from staying there as well." (97156729)

"the booking-in process took some time and only 2 of 3 rooms had been allocated. there was no bed available on arrival for young person, dispite 2 initial requests, eventually arrived at 7pm whilst preparing for dinner. the majority of staff were foreign and problems with the language meant slow service and some problems with the orders at table. the menu was varied and interesting and the food good and well proportioned." (97611436)

the rooms were situated outside the main building like holiday cottages. friendly warm atmosphere within the restaurant/bar area.

3 rooms were booked together, but we were put in different parts of the building and it appeared that they were not ready for us at 5pm. elderly person

    Good food

Check in staff and waitress service unprofessional.

"The food was excellent, great value for money, and all staff were very helpful and accomadating, even though we had a reasonable late arrival and early departure. Only problem i faced, was the settling of the bill at the checkout. I think it should be made aware that if booking online the money is not instantly taken off your card, the transaction will be made at checkout, as i believed it had been debited from my account as some hotels do and some dont.. so there was a mix up in the morning. Although this was handled efficently." (97543136)

I liked the indviduality of this hotel. it wasnt like another hotel ive stayed in before, with the room feeling very private and undisturbed.

    Large clean room

Although the room was double glazed this proved inefective and very loud road noise resulted in little sleep.

attractive communal areas and friendly staff.

uncomfortable beds and key to main entrance which didn't work! no way of turning off radiators in the room.

"This inn offers a delightful stay with a genuine English country atmosphere with a warm and inviting staff. You will not find a better value." (99868156)

This is a charming inn with great food and a friendly inviting staff. It is in a convenient location and the surrounding countryside is beautiful.

The driving directions need to be made more clear.

The bedroom was spacious and well-equipped

The bathroom was in need of up-dating and maintenance e.g. the shower pressure was poor, the sealant round the bath was old and black

The food at lunch (not inc in price) was good.

The room was in need of refurbishment, the bathroom was unhygenic. The waiter was surly, and ineffective. The beer was awful.

"see above Pretty place (main house) to stay room generally clean. Not happy I didnt get a cooked breakfast though it was in with the price despite my being up and out by 7.30 I think I should have had a discount I stay in hotels every month especially in London and will undoubtedly be coming back to Bicester again in future with my family to shop at the outlet village and make a weekend of it, Not sure if Id stay in the hotel I did though" (3305220275)

    reasonable sized room

annex, bit clammy, didnt like the shower. Bit pricey. On evening i arrived I (a) booked an early call for 6.45 am next day and didnt get it; (b) booked a taxi for 7.15 am the next day and didnt get it. Luckily I was on the ball or I wouldnt have got to London at the time I wanted to 9am

"The location was good for our needs and the room was adequate for a short stay, however we received barely a hello on check-in and were given very little information. The general manner of the staff member who dealt with us left my husband and I feeling very unwelcome, and indeed that it was something of a hassle that she had to check us in. Because of this 'greeting' we were disinclined to spend our time and money in the hotel bar and consequently left early to go to the evening celebrations we were in Bicester for. The next day we chose to have a 'continental' breakfast sent to our room, though I fail to see anything remotely continental about cornflakes and toast! All in all it was an adequate but disappointing experience." (3304230548)

The hotel was adequate and the bar had a nice olde-world charm, unfortunately however staff attitude let it down.

Our room would have benefitted from some updating, but what really spoiled our stay was the impolite and unwelcoming way we were treated by the staff member who checked us in.

The room was pretty cold when I entered it and it does not warm up during the complete evening. I wanted to work to prepare my next days meeting and had to wear my coat... The heating just lifts the room temperature a little bit. I do not think I will stay there a 2nd time.

"The room was very basic and bed hard & on a slant. It was cold with the heating on very low and no thermastat to turn it up. Food was good and very quick. The bath water was very brown when I ran the bath with lots of black bits in the bottom. Overall I would probably not stay there again as a Premier travel inn is better value for money and cheaper." "The rooms are outside the main reception and restuarant / bar areas and could do with some protection when moving from the room to the main congregation rooms. I was put off by the receptionist on arrival who was not welcoming. This general situation improved considerably during my stay by the presence of the owner - who was excellent with all of the guests. This is particularly important with solo business guests. I would definately recommend that the menu is extended to include lower priced options; this is important for business travellers. Maybe the option of a Dinner, Bed and Breakfast rate would be popular, with a Table D'Hote menu only." (3304207569)

God sized room and bathroom. The food is very good. The general facilities are fine and I did appreciate the presence of ironing facilities in the room

The standard of the room needs to be upgraded - with priority on the furniture. The height of the TV is too low and the fan in the bathroom needs replacing - noisy. The shower was barely adequate - with both temperature and volume on maximum it only just produced enough flow for a shower.

very comfortable, not plush but perfectly adequate. Loved the real fire and had lovely snacky evening meal in the bar area.

The cooked breakfast was a definite let-down. Need to invest in better quality, tasty breakfast sausages and bacon, and I do prefer freshly made coffee or tea. Thought £99 was rather pricey, especially in January!

Convenient, clean good value, excellent food

Rooms have a bit of a damp smell but given the age of the buildings this is probably inevitable without major work being carried out.

Check in was effortless as was checking out.The rooms had everything we wanted and were as you would expect to find them.Everything about our stay ran smoothly with no complaints. Thank you." Beautiful buildings and very well situated, lovely rooms and a great restaurant serving fantastic food.

The bathrooms were clean but would possibly benefit from some modenisation.

It was very close to the Track day event and Bicester. The food was very good.

Customer Service from the Duty Manager! I do not appreciate being told What part of 11:30 do I not understand when asking why the bar shut at that time.
