The staff were fantastic- very friendly, helpful and attentive. The hotel itself was a fantastic old building, and the food was delicious.

An excellent, peacuful location. Good food and friendly staff.
There were only two hangers in the wardrobe, one of which was broken and there was a radio alarm clock by the bed, the radio of which didn't work. It is a pity to have to give minus points for such minor things that would be so easy to put right.

Friendly staff. Excellent Cappacino from the Italian waiter, and nice friendly guy. The pub building itself has plenty of character
The worst point was the closer on the room doors . far too strong causing doors to close with loud bang. The full english breakfast was rather spartan, but well cooked.

Food was excellent and service in restaurant was good although we had to wait for breakfast.
One bath towel and one hand towel between two of us. No extractor fan in bathroom. One plastic glass in the bathroom. No towel mat. Three hangers in wardrobe - one broken.

The food we had at he hotel was excellent.
One of the rooms smelt of damp, but we were given a £20 refund on the cost of the room to compensate. The cooked breakfast was a small portion, more variety would be an improvement.

Double bed was 2 singles pushed together and not same height. Quilt was too small for bed. Extremely poor Full English Breakfast

Supper and breakfast very good.
Curtains in room hanging off track. Duvets whilst very clean and soft, were also rather thin. I used both duvets on my bed and was then very comfy.

Excellent value at £35 (Sunday special deal) for B&B. Enjoyed the polish meals in the evening, reasonable prices & good quality. Good breakfast. Friendly, helpful staff.

Excellent excellent excellent value for money from these new Polish owners. In reality, we weren't looking for luxury and the room was perfectly OK. We actually need more of these good value hotels in "nice" locations. I hate pretentious overpriced joints.
Well it wasn't the Ritz, but as I said above, who cares??

Beer was good and the staff were friendly

Nice food Value for money Main building pleasant and set in idyllic village
Door to room, the glass fell out, door very difficult to lock Aging and poor quality bath/shower. Just one nearly used up tablet of soap! No spare toilet roll. No remote control for the TV

Beautiful old pub, beams, log burners, flagstone floors, the works. Rupert the Landlord was very friendly, he even adapted some of the menu to suit us as vegetarians. We're considering a return trip to explore more of the area." (107298743)
Comfortable room & friendly staff. They even made us lunch when we arrived late. Great little country pub, lovely atmosphere & very good selection of food available. Fantastic value for money, very surprised considering the area.

A very tidy and clean little pub, with cute village atmosphere. Menu looked extensive and outdoor tables were great.
Only niggle is that the room had NO window! Only an entrance door which of course is closed at night. All the downstairs rooms are like this. Would have to ask for a different room if booking again.

The White Horse, Steeple Aston - Reviews & Ratings"Lovely pub, quintesentially english building with accomodation across the car park in converted barns, However the rooms are Tired, very plain and in need of a bit of TLC,the twin rooms are two singles tight up against each other as the rooms are small, the heating is variable and noisy, with no information/instructions about either the area or the room/appliances within the room or the hotel, This is the only pub food outlet in the village and the prices for food I think reflect this, although the food was good, quantities were small including the breakfast. Would not book again unless, A - better room rates especially better discount for singles and B - Discounted food for residents" (97831233)
Olde Worlde pub and lovely area, nice walk out in the evening.
Website desription said recently decorated rooms, not so, walls in bathrooms damp and blacked, room small and sound proofing inadequate
