El Fuerte, Marbella - Reviews & Ratings"Our only possible complaint was the poor porterage as there seemed to be porters around whenever we passed reception, but not on the 2 occasions we needed them. When we arrived we waited 35 minutes for our luggage and when I went down to complain a male member of the reception staff brought the luggage. When leaving we waited 12 minutes and nobody came so I wheeled the luggage down myself. Apart from these minor hiccups the hotel could not be faulted. Breakfasts were excellent, we had 2 evening meals - one al-a -carte and the other the excellent buffet. Both first class and very fairly priced. Bedroom was first class for cleanliness and maintenance of bathroom supplies. When we arrived the toilet was not flushing; this was attended to within 5 minutes. The air conditioning was not working properly and 2 engineers fixed it within 10 minutes. We consider that the hotel was as good, if not better, than many 5 star hotels at which we have stayed. One suggestion. They should have a waiter circulating the sunbathing area offering to obtain drinks in the same manner as other similar hotels in hot climates. We had to go back to the main building to order (which was then brought to us by a waiter)" (99901512)

Excellent location, near to beach and old town centre. Generally very good service with friendly staff. Good breakfast and evening buffet.
The room that was allocated to us was as requested having a front sea view and balcony but was very small for two people. We have been to El Fuerty several time in the past and had a larger room. This year they have introduced a charge of 7 euros/day for parking. This is quite unwarranted as it has always been free in the past and the entrance barrier that has been intoroduced is very unreliable.
