  Food top class. Accommodation in new block good - we had to change rooms because of uncomfortable bed in main building. Wonderful setting.

  "It is a shame to see a once lovely hotel so rundown" (107766553)

  Reception staff very charming and helpful

  Poor food: disappointing dinner and really slow service. We were kept waiting over an hour between 1st and 2nd courses. Large cobwebs and spiders in the corners of the dining room, which should have been cleaned before serving breakfast.

  "Enjoyable but brief." (107308504)

  Attractive countryside location. Large quiet ensuite room. Good cuisine. Exellent continental breakfast. Pleasant staff. No musak anywhere - wonderful!

  Slight glitch on check-in. 2 rooms were booked and confirmed by Active Hotels but at Reception we were told only one room had been requested. Fortunately they had another nice room. We wondered about this as a previous reviewer had a similar experience. For us, all was well.

  "I would recommend this hotel to friends. I would suggest that you add the mini kettle to the room and also offer a wider array of tourist brochures" (99792549)

  Beautiful setting, easy to find with excellent directions. staff were superb, both friendly and helpful. Room was large and comfortable. Food was excellent in the evening

  No tea/coffee making facility in room, breakfast buffet had a reasonable array but did not vary at all in the week I stayed

  "We would have liked to know that smokers are not controlled there. We understand from the receptionist that people abuse the non-smoking rooms, but suspect that they may not have a non-smoking policy. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in spite of the dark and coldly unwelcoming room." (3304441334)

  Good location in very pleasant countryside and rapid access to Bergerac. Friendly staff and good cuisine. The dining room is very pleasant with an attractive outlook on lawn and fields with woodland in the background. Access to the hotel from the airport is very straightforward and the area holds plenty of interest. An excellent Summer location.

  Our room stank of cigarette smoke which was very unwelcome. The cold tile floor is not cosy and we did not want to spend time there. We would not recommend this hotel for a Winter break - the room was too gloomy and cold.The lounge is rather severe and unwelcoming, particularly for children. There is little tourist information there, (but the information in the local Offices de Tourisme is terrific). A few maps would be nice. Breakfast, though good with plenty of choice, is a scramble with the service tables spanning a doorway between two rooms.

  "The overall experience was excellent.The staff were efficient,helpful and friendly.The food at the Hotel was very well presented and tasted absolutely delicious.Especially as my Wife and myself are vegetarians.The Hotel setting is very quiet and picturesque.With better directions and air conditioning you could not wish for a better Hotel."   The accommodation was very clean and comfortable,especially as we were upgraded to a suite.
