Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Absolutely fine for what I need. Not luxurious but efficient." (107613610)
I always use this hotel for its proximity to the airport. I can walk across to it, no need for taxis, and can be collected easily the next day.
No Sky sports!

Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Very convenient as said. Quiet room considering very near the airport. Breakfast could be better as I was to drive to my destination in Omagh which was one and a half hours away. Good check out staff." (107487898)
Good position of the hotel to the airport. very convenient for me which I appreciated. Good decor in main reception.
Fairly poor service at breakfast. Although self service to a point tea was served instead of coffee initially. No real choice of yogurts and had to wait for some of the cooked. I served myself the cooked in part but this became cold waiting for the remainder of which I did not stay to eat as it had not arrived. Ordered a paper for the morning which I did not get as I left at 0700 and apparently these would not arrive until 0800. This was not explained to me. I was not charged me for my breakfast.

Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Was very happy to have been able to stay so close to the Airport for an early morning flight." (107968172)
The room was very comfortable and it was very quiet. The Bar staff were very attentive.
There weren't any snacks in the Bar. And a soap dish in the bathroom would have been nice.

overall excellent value for money, nice hotel
We started our meal in restaurant at 9.15pm,were offered dessert at end of meal at approx.10pm only to be told we were too late even though we were told at reception hot food served until 10pm and cold food only after 10pm.I found this totally bizarre and unprofessional, surely if you start your meal you should be entitled to finish it.

Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Please see comments above" (107422561)
facilities were good and the staff were helpful
I could not geta parking space for my car which I paid to park for a week whilst travelling to japan. I also had to pay extra for my breakfast even though I felt the charge for the room was excessive. I booked a single room but was allocated a double and felt the money I was charged was for a double. I fully expect the rate that I paid in Northern Ireland to cover breakfast. I would be reluctant to stay at this hotel and pay that rate, which I was advised the morning follwing my stay does not include breakfast. (Far too expensive)

Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Disappointing and depressing." (107153503)
Leaving the next morning!
Here goes:- The ensuite bathroom was a disabled facility. The toilet valve was making such loud noises when filling with water, it could be heard down the corridor. The toilet seat was cracked and not very clean. Part of the ceiling was hanging down revealing all the services above. The bath panel was not installed properly. There was some mould between the bath and tiles. When we asked to relocate to another room, we were told no, the hotel is full. The evening meal was very disappointing. The potato nest containing the starter was in pieces, cold and tasted stale. The steak was tough. The potatoes were microwaved to perfection i.e. scalding hot, the carrots were harder than al-dente should be. The courgettes were mush. We were not advised that one portion of vegetables was more than enough for two people. We did complain to the waiter, who just gave us a complaint form to fill in. Which we did and left at the reception desk the next morning. The receptionist did not ask if everything was to our satisfaction nor did she ask if we enjoyed our stay.

Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Did the job reasonably well for our needs although those around us spending more time around the pool and the bar seemed to have more complaints about the resort." (107584118)
clean, decent enough apartment
unhelpful staff, not unpleasant but unwilling to help you out; not a double mattress - instead 2 single mattresses pushed together; pool was salty, chlorinated and cold - horrible to swim in and as such nobody was using it (would benefit from being fresh water at least); could have benefitted from an oven and grill (but this was not really expected).

Park Plaza Belfast, Aldergrove - Reviews & Ratings"Nice hotel, nice room, lovely food. But a bit pricey." (97161279)
I ordered a meal (room service) it was excellent.
I booked a non smoking room, but ended up in one with a non smoking sign and I was unaware of this, until I arrived at the hotel room door. This was a bit inconvenient.

Location to airport is very convenient. Food is pricey but of a good standard and portion size.
Rooms were very outdated and didn't match the standards of the rest of the hotel.

Location, location, location... staying here saved the cost of a day's extra car hire and transportation to hotels further afield.
I think the price would have been ok, if it had included breakfast. I found the price of the breakfast expensive, although it was very good. Also menu choice was a bit limited in the evening.

Clean, good size, obvious attention to detail during original construction. High standard in comparison to so many like hotels. Good quality food at the bar, no doubt they have a good chef. Very convenient for the airport (1 min walk) and city transport such as excellent airport bus.
Slight issue with aircraft fumes at night.
