    "OK" (107342984)

I found it hard to belive the hotel was four star as the room was so small. Also they knew it was 2 people staying, but did not leave 2 big towels, or 2 hot chocolate sachets or 2 packets of buscuits. Although we didn't need much it was a lot of money for what we got.

My only problem was when I arrived after a long work day and long journey, I was told there was no booking for me. I said I had made it myself, only to be told I was booked for the following day. Fortunately I had my paper confirmation confirming I was correct. The receptionist then just walked away to another room, behind the desk, only to return several minutes later and proceed with my booking. At no time was I told "sorry", or "dont worry madam we can sort it out" or similar.

"other than the issue with the bath, the stay was very nice. " (107612512)

    Clean and pleasant.

The bath plug would not remove, so i was left with a bath full of water in the morning.

Clean well run hotel. Good value for money.

Only one bath towel in bathroom. Radiator noisy all through the night.

We thought that the hotel was clean and bright. The Receptionist was excellent, very friendly both when checking in and out.

No bad points, just remember that the tea things are hiddin away in the wardrobe, and it wasn't until we were leaving that we found this out!

Staff friendly and the hotel was clean

Room was very small and a couple of complimentry shampoo and conditioners wouldn't have gone amiss

    Food excellent.

Room and general decor a bit old fashioned and tired looking.

Location to where I had to be ! Ample car parking

Receptionist when I checked in was 'barely interested'. Despite being ladend down with bags and work I was just pointed to the stairs - is there a lift??The initial impression of reception was ok, but as with many hotels I am becoming increasingly convinced they allocate certain rooms for 'late' bookings. The room was dated and dark. Bar food was not of good quality either. The signage says 4*........very questionnable !

"Lovely hotel, good room and bar facilities were excellent" (97249500)

Check-In staff were first class at sorting out the mix-up with the online booking.

The online booking reference wasn't recognised by the hotel so there was some confusion at check-in. Due to the high volume of party guests there was lots of doors banging around 2am and again at 5:30am which didn't make for a great night's sleep.

Very clean and tidy. Excellent room service. Excellent food from the Kings's Bar.

Satellite t.v limited to terrestrial channels plus sky news and sport. Would have liked to have had some movie channels. Some building work going on so a bit noisy at times.

"I would probably return. Overall pleasant experience." (97491635)

Beautiful Location and handsome exterior. Clean bathroom. Friendly staff. Easy accessibility to taxi company.

Breakfast ending at 10am - should be later. Breakfast service at table not well organised. Watied for coffee for 15 minutes. Not told in advance that there was a total no smoking policy in each room and told of this for first time on arrival. Told when booking that price did not include breakfast but told the opposite when booking in.

    Clean, tidy and comfortable

I am 6'2 tall of muscular build so struggled to use the shower cubicle in the room. In fact I think my 10yr old daughter would have done as it was shall we say a little COMPACT!!

"Complete the refurbishment and unclude lobby/check in area as asoon as possible as this is generally unwelcoming. Staff make up for it but I had to get a member of the bar staff to locate the desk staff as they were away and there was no way to attract attention or contact them for me to check out." (97744722)

Comfortable, good bathroom these upgraded rooms are a big improvement on the poor quality un-refurbished rooms I have sometimes stayed in before at this hotel

"Could have done with a location map, better instructions on how to get there as it is on a country lane. Rooms could have had more information in them and a minibar or room service menu would have been good for lone travellers." (97655961)

Conveniently situated for my meeting. Nice big room. Friendly staff.

Lone female traveller, had connecting door to room next door, slightly uncomfortable with this although it was locked. not enough blankets on bed and no spares. No room service. Very noisy central heating system!

"The check in was very busy and though i had no problems, there were 2 people there complaining. One lady came back after being upset about something else to say the new room she'd been given was occupied and she walked in on a man in the shower! Overall a lovely visit for me though - staff were friendly and efficient. One outstanding factor that has been consistent is that when i ask for a taxi to be organised the staff DO IT! I've been left waiting at so many hotels because the staff forget to order as asked. It's nice to have hot chocolate in with the tea which may seem silly but it's nice to have it. The rooms are well equipped and mine have always been quiet. Sometimes the price online has been out of the range i am allowed to spend and i've had to stay at Enfield Comfort Inn which is no where near as nice." (99599411)

Wireless internet, location, breakfast with lovely fruit salad, friendly staff

Kettle didn't work on 2nd morning, no mobile signal

"The hotel is easy to find with ample parking, the restaurant although pricy and not a large choice was enjoyable and the food good The Receptionist did not appear confident and had trouble with my online booking form, (although a mistake was made by myself on the form) they appeared not to know what to do until I pointed out what they should do. The bathroom in our room had dirty grouting between the tiles round the bath in places. But I would use this hotel again." (99728859)

Ample parking - easy to find - nice appearance

The Bathroom tiles had dirt and black spots in the Grout

    Friendly staff and clean rooms

The walls to the rooms are paper thin and you can hear next door occupants easily. Not good if they are noisy and late to their rooms.
