Very friendly and helpful check in staff. A pleasure to deal with.
I thought the cleaners in the morning where having a competition to see who could shout the loudest over hand towels. Very loud very early.

Fantastic rooms and very pleasant staff. Good food.
It was very hot overnight. Fans or air conditioning would have made it a more comfortable stay. Despite our booking confirmation slip stating check- out at 12pm, reception rang to say it was 11am, but we could stay until 12pm if we wished. Not sure why there are two times, but it certainly didn't detract from a very pleasant stay.

Hallmark Hotel Manchester formerly - Belfry House Hotel, Handforth - Reviews & Ratings"- To push the stay into the 'brilliant' category, from 'excellent', all it would have taken would have been a bottle of still or sparkling water. Simple as that!" (107864635)
- Good location - greeted / informed very well - excellent room - friendly atmosphere
- One of those things that can happen anywhere, but there was a fire-alarm that went off early Sunday morning. I think one of the staff should have travelled the corridors telling us that on this occasion, the alarm was to be ignored. Simple as that.

Clean, new decor, friendly staff
You could hear folk in room next door very easily...and the gap under door in to hall was so large that any noise in hallway was VERY obvious...and with party go-ers and families on fly drive holidays it was basically very very noisy until 1.30-2.am....and then it all started again at 5.30am as people got up to get to the airport...

Hallmark Hotel Manchester formerly - Belfry House Hotel, Handforth - Reviews & Ratings"Impressed with the hotel, good value for money, but our treat was to meet for a girly spa weekend. No one told us when booking that the spa area had not been renovated and was a shambles, so it was a bit pointless. " (107982682)
The room was very good, good clean fresh furnishings. Wonderful that there was a proper hairdryer, [not one of those silly hold the button things].Most of the staff very friendly and professional. Bar staff very good.
Staff in the restaurant very poor, so slow and disinterested.Room-a shower hat and flannel would have been good. The whole hotel was far too hot, often very uncomfortable. Spa area appalling.

very nice surroundings and we found it easy to locate, although only staying for one night it was a nice relaxing atmosphere
although the room was cleaned to a high standard the plug in the hand basin was clogged with hair as if it had'nt been cleaned properly.

Hallmark Hotel Manchester formerly - Belfry House Hotel, Handforth - Reviews & Ratings"Not a horrible stay but was definitely not impressed with the service and a lot of things being out of order - the hotel is advertised as a spa and we had to spend a couple of hours relaxing in the spa before returnign home but were informed by other guests that the spa and sauna were out of order" (107776316)
hotel was modern and looked recently renovated.
lift, steam room and sauna were all out of order! We had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be acknowledged and seated for breakfast which when we got to the counter, there were no eggs or bacon left. On checking in we were asked if we would like a newspaper delivered to our room to which we said yes. The paper never arrived and we were handed it at reception as we were checking out with the receptionist stating she couldnt leave the reception unattended (although there were 2 staff members there) This newspaper had also been charged to our account (I presumed if they are offering you a newspaper it would be complimentry like most other hotels)

Good venue for EIC event. Excellent lunch for EIC event. Good atmosphere in bar / lounge.
No hot water for shower in the morning. No heating in the morning. Long wait (40 minutes)for dinner - after placing order. Served with wrong meal. Poor quality dinner for cost.

Hallmark Hotel Manchester formerly - Belfry House Hotel, Handforth - Reviews & Ratings"An enjoyable stay which would have been more memorable had the Leisure Club been a bit more upmarket. Especially the cleanliness" (107798326)
The hotel was impressive lovely appearance on arrival and at check in. The room was very good. Lovely decorated fittings and crockery first class. Staff in hotel and Leisure Club were very friendly and helpful
The Leisure club was functional looks tired. MY ONE REAL GRIEVANCE WAS THE STATE OF CLEANLINESS OF THE MALE CHANGING ROOM On both occassions I used it the floor area was filthy. The dirtiest changing rooms I have been in. All it required was for someone to use a mop I would have used it myself if there had been one available. Maybe it has something to do with the layout of the premises situation of toilets etc.
