We thought we were in the Hilton!!!! I have never stayed in a place that was so comfortable yet had facilities that made the place 5 Star!!!

Dinner was fair.
Very noisy room over the front of the hotel/pub. Room temperature was very hot even with both radiators turned off. Vaccuuming started directly below the room at 7.30am and continued for some time along with loud music/radio from below.

The good size of the room, the cleanliness of the room and the comfort.
The shower was a little small, no sky tv and the very noisy disco next door on friday night going until 2.30a.m

The only thing I would change would be to see some changes on the menu - but that's only because I have stayed here a few times and I'm used to it. The ensuite bedroom and was very well decorated with good quality furnishings. There was a friendly bar downstairs and the restaurant was nicely laid out.Everywhere was very clean and well maintained.The staff were friendly, polite and efficient.

The room was of good size and excellently equiped
The accomodation is in two wings which do not interconnect. Our party was split between two wings which made it difficult to locate and communicate. Also beware of going from one wing to another late at night without the external door key to your wing.

We therefore made sure we had eaten before we arrived but as it turned out this hotel offered a good range of vege meals. The room was very clean and inviting. They made it very child friendly, even putting the kids p.js on their teddies when making the bed! This amused our little ones. The surroundings were lovely. The town was a really nice place to stay.Thank you!
The music from below was sometimes a bit noisy, but we got used to it.

There's a lot to be said about a nice clean room when visiting a B+B, our room was immaculate. Staff were friendly and helpful, checkin/checkout took a few minutes in total. Superb Full English Breakfast that was freshly cooked with good quality ingredients.
Slightly noisy in our room above the bar, but that was to be expected.

The bed was very comfortable so it's a shame we didn't stay for more than one night! Good choice of food on the breakfast menu and breakfast was served with a smile! On the whole the staff were pleasant. The only slight complaint I would make would be the fact that food was not allowed in your room. As we had arrived after 9pm there were very few places in the high street to have dinner,so to bring a take-away back to our room would have been nice." (2918032)
For a pub/hotel the Half Moon was very pleasant.
It was a shame we had to go outside across the garden to get to our room. Luckily the weather wasn't too cold.

The room was exactly as advertised and could not be faulted as everthing in the room worked! It may have been our interpretation of the comments made by earlier guests but we had gained the impression that food was not easily obtained in the evening and that we might have to travel to find somewhere. As it turned out of course the hotel provides a fine menu for the restaurant as well as the option of bar snacks. Only negative comment is that we were not made aware that on our first night that there was a jazz evening in one of the function rooms which we would have liked to attend. Still it proves that the jazz evening does not constitute a noise problem, for guests in our room at least, because we never heard a thing" (2726239)
Very well presented accommodation which was spotlessly clean,spacious and well equiped. Evening meal in the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was also first class.
Access to some of the rooms would I think give some problems to guests with mobililty issues involving lots of doors and stairs but the staff I am sure would be very helpful.

Lovely room,because we were over the pump room we were warned at check-in that it might be noisy,this did not pose a problem,heard nothing.

Close to the popular beach resorts of Lincolnshire whilst enjoying a quiet village location. Lots to do in the immediate area. The staff were professional, friendly and eager to help. The online booking process was user friendly and was used effectively by staff and management to ensure a personal welcome on check in. The rooms were excellent in every way. We chose to eat in the restaurant on Saturday evening. The menu was varied with something to suit all tastes. The standards of food and service were excellent. You should ensure you book a table early for Saturdays as the restaurant is very popular with non-residents. Bar food is also available. In summary the management have got it right! A character building with modern facilities, sympathetically executed, and an attitude that nothing is too much trouble. What more could you ask?" (2427214)
The rooms have obviously been refurbished recently. They are bright, clean and tastefully decorated to retain the old world charm of the building whilst providing all the facilities one would expect from a 21st century hotel room. En suite power shower, internet access etc.
The residents balcony area would benefit from the addition of parasols to the tables. The gardens also were lacking parasols on the tables. It was a very hot weekend.
