Mardon House, Chesterfield - Reviews & Ratings"This was purely an overnight stop and it was not our intention to stay for long in the accomodation. The room was comforatble and the use of the pool a bonus. The owners were helpful. We enjoyed the experience." (99906727)
The room we stayed in was very well decorated and well equipped. The pool was excellent. Breakfast was good.

The room is a lot a bigger then what the pictures upon this site and it's website make it out to be. The double jacuzzi and four poster bed in room was wonderful. We hope to come here again for a longer stay." (99104040)
Warm, friendly welcome. Brilliant in room Jacuzzi and special touches made the stay extremely pleasant and remember able for all the right reasons.

Mardon House, Chesterfield - Reviews & Ratings"This is definately luxury accommodation. We stayed in the Bedworth Room which has a very comfy bed, TV with satellite, Tassimo coffee machine, fridge with complimentary wine, comfy sofa, and great views over the surrounding parkland. The bathroom has twin basins, corner bath and shower. Choose breakfast night before - great choice and nothing too much trouble. There is also a pool but our stay was short and we had not come prepared - a variety of beauty treatments can also be arranged - we will definately visit again." (99677824)
Everything was clean and ultra comfortable - beautifully decorated and luxurious bedding. Fantastic views from our room over open countryside - yet only 5 mins from Chesterfield Centre.

The only thing was we were told we could have used the pool for no extra cost because no-one else was staying there, but if we wanted exclusive use of it at the time of booking it would have cost us " (99640269)

The facilities include the use of Swimming Pool & Jacuzzi, not many establishments can boast these. The whole experience was very relaxing. It is situated in an ideal location to visit all the attractions of the Peak District. A big thank you to our hosts, Linda & Howard, who made us feel very welcome, and tended to our every needs. They rang the pub to arrange a table for dinner as we were late arriving due to traffic and provided an excellent choice of food for breakfast. The owners were friendly without being in the way, felt like home from home without the screaming children and the housework. All in all a place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet and beautiful surrounds. The rooms and breakfasts are exceptional, the setting, tranquil and pastoral, the location, ideal for the Dales & Peaks District. We normally have to put up with a lower standard of accomodation than we are used to in our own home. This was a real exception! It was outstanding and then some.

very nicely decorated and laid back atmosphere. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. They make you feel at home.
It's a shame there was no smoking area in doors and I would have really like to have had a CD or DVD player in the room as there was no sattelite or movie channels available in the room.

Mardon House, Chesterfield - Reviews & Ratings"There is nothing we would like to have known that wasn't as we found at the accommodation. With the good instructions of the owners, it was easy to find. Everything was as presented on the web. We were only staying overnight so to some extent we were not able to appreciate all that was available. We had had a long day of travelling, and after a brief welcome went down the road to the 16th century pub which provided home cooked food, and excellent ambiance. After a most comfortable sleep on the futuristic 'memory mattress' sumptuous we were off on our travels -well rested and well fed." (3305039897)
Luxury furnishings; warm welcome; breakfast beautifully cooked and presented from the very large choice selected the previous night.
One of us had problems with the very sophisticated shower, would have appreciated a printed, stage by stage, guide in the bathroom, for those visitors like myself who are non-technical. This is important because the water was quite not.

A warm welcome from the owners who were very pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable and peaceful with lovely views from the window. Ideal for a restful weekend away.
We liked the sitting area but would have liked a few lamps instead of having to use the ceiling lights, but it was not a major problem.

The setting of the property was idyllic particularly the views of the country from the garden and from the breakfast room. Both Howard and Linda could not do enough for us during our stay. Although the experience was expensive it was well worth it for a special occasion. The location is not only attractive but situated close to many visitor attractions such as Chatsfield House. thoroughly recommended!" (3304535409)

It was the little touches, the wine, home made chocolates, fruit, the robes, etc. that made the hotel that bit more special. The decor was extremely luxurious and the room that we stayed in, the Brookland, was particulary beautiful!!!! We were drawn to the hotel for its pool and jacuzzi which were both fantastic. The whole experience far exceeded our expectations! We shall be recommending this hotel to our friends and family. Thank you for the warm welcome and the relaxed atmosphere that was created!
