"Hotel billed as four star but rooms and service were that of a three star." (108302261)

The staff were generally friendly. The hotel does not have a car park but staff move your car around available parking bays for you.

Reception had check in for 1 night but i had booked for 2. Cleaning of the room was overlooked.

"We weren't advised that there was going to be maintainence on the lifts. On the morning of leaving there were both lifts out of order and no-one told us. We had to carry our bags and suitcase down 5 flights of stairs. Also we had trouble getting into our room twice as the card didnt work." (97444523)

    the location

the rooms need updating, the decor wasnt great

"Nice hotel with helpful facilities such as free, secure parking. Central location, within easy drive of football ground. Noise might be a problem for light sleepers, but I had little problem on sixth floor. Later checkout time ideal." (97305725)

Central location near train station and shops, reasonably priced room for standard.

Not the biggest room but more than sufficient for one person. I was on sixth floor but weekend stay on lower floor could be noisy thanks to drinkers in streets.

"Overall a good experience. Breakfast was excellent. The service throughout was excellent. The only downside was the noise. We have stayed in the hotel twice previously and cannot remember it being so noisy." (97157374)

    Clean and comfortable

The room was very noisy - revellers in the street until 6 am and the council began sweeping the streets at 6 am. There was also a very noisy pipe which clattered the whole night.

"Would like it clear in booking if Hotel has smoking facilities, I requested smoking room and this wasn;t even mentioned at my check in." (97246805)

Location of the hotel and parking facilites

Room was small, and bathroom was very small. Room service took over an hour when I was advised it would be about 1/2 hour. Breakfast room service also was not quite there no orange juice with my breakfast when it was clearly marked on order form.

"It would have been helpful if in the information that it was possible to park the car at the hotel whilst booking in and then taking the car to the car park at the back of the railway station." (97359447)

Its central location to the city

Not the hotels fault, but the drive to the car park was not easy.

The ease of reservation. The friendly night porter who kept me company in the early hours of morning

    Run down and excessively noisy.

"as i had said, parking could be better. rooms very clean but a bit dated, Lounge area superb and food first class. Area a bit worrying as we were able to watch 3 fights outside the hotel at bar closing times on the sat and sunday night.........a very good hotel with lovely staff, clean and great food. If the rooms were more modern then it would be perfect" (99641896)

very good bar /lounge area and lovely staff.

limited parking was very limited and we had a bit of a job persuading the staff that we needed secure parking as we had a broken lock on the car, however they were very nice and squeezed us in, in the end. If secure parking is required then it may be better to book an alternative

"Car parking about half mile from Hotel Noise from revellers turning out from pubs and clubs, police and ambulance vehicle sirens throughout the early hours of the morning not conducive to a restful nights sleep" (99522623)

Very small rooms showing their age

The central location and ease of getting there form the motorways

Hardly call it a dislike but overall the hotel was a bit worn and could have done with makeover for the price.

"That the car parking was a good 5 minute walk away!" (99839760)

Hotel was clean and some staff were very pleasant and friendly.

No car parking at hotel (informed incorrectly at time of booking). Bathroom light did not work. Single glazed windows rattled in wind and could hear noise from outside all night.

"Overall the stay was fine. However, our car was put in the overspill car park which was the other side of the train station. Somebody took the car there for us but we had to go and collect it ourselves on departure which was not practical as we were laden with shopping bags and our overnight bags." (99007399)

Comfy bed; pleasent hotel receptionist; nice clean bar.

Bathroom needed updating (room 459) - taps were old and looked past their best.

because it was in town centre which was convenience for purpose of stay

room/bathroom needs to be redecorated and modernised to a better standard.black walls above heater and cleanliness like paintwork, tiles, edges of carpet. Rooms at front very noisy because of traffic/people/dustbin collection/deleries

"Overall,my stay at the Hotel was very enjoyable, nice staff, comfy beds and easy walking distance to the Hull Arena. The car parking at the Station might not look like a good idea if you had a valuable car, maybe the option of parking under the Hotel would have been a good idea.My last point," (3304409548)

All staff members were very pleasant and helpfull.

The noise level from outside the Hotel late at night was a bit on the loud side, not helpfull for a good nights sleep.
