Campanile Hotel Hull, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"Not a bad little hotel..... Staff very friendly and helpfull.....Nice big room and lovely BIG bed.... Price was right and would go back again ....." (108292110)
I was pleasantly surprised when we got inside the room. First impressions though i must say reminded us of the crossroads Motel. The room was bigger than expected, and the bed was a good size.
Very very noisey , as we were on the main road side. All night we could hear sirens one after the other !! Eventhough we DID have the shuttersw down, they did not keep the noise out !! Would have been great had we got a good nights sleep.. But then cannot complain, we did manage to get the summer offer for £30.00 per room per night !!!! bargain !!!!

you need a gate open late at night so coming from town centre you can come in of the main road it would save walking round to the car park gates.

Campanile Hotel Hull, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel is City Centre, and suffers from severe traffic noise. The area surrounding the hotel would make downtown Mogadishu look like Knightsbridge. On Sunday morning, locals were attempting to dismantle security fence surrounding the compound in which the hotel was situated." (107901083)
Lock broken on bathroom door. Security chain missing on front door. Fron door lock not adequately secure when locking from inside.

Staff were very friendly. The breakfasts were well cooked, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The cleaning staff were thorough and polite.
No bad points really. A light bulb didn't work, and the sink in the shower room was slightly cracked, but we were assured that it was to be replaced after we checked out.

Campanile Hotel Hull, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"We never used the restaurant or other facilities, so no comments possible. The charge for breakfast we found too expensive and so we ate nearby." (107751319)
Room was simple but clean. Cleaning staff were as good as any good hotel.
Only 1 chair in the room my wife and I stayed in. Although I booked two rooms the check-in staff had not reserved adjoining rooms, and although I phoned a late arrival they still did not assign adjoining rooms.

We visited York and left the key at the reception. We planned to be at home before 23.00 but the train was very late so we could not enter our room. One telephonecall and one of the staff came very soon and opened our room.We were very happy!
There was very little space for hanging cloth: no hooks, only 1 chair. The tv did not work and there was not an instructionpaper. The staff repaired it.The tv in the diningroom was too loud!

Campanile Hotel Hull, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"Considering the hotel is relatively new, it's looking very tired. Rooms are comfortable enough, but the manager really should put in a formal complaint to the local council about the noise from the neighbouring bar. " (97783204)
12 noon checkout. Shutters on windows to keep the early morning sun out.
situated next to a very loud bar/nightclub with music going until 2am. If you want a peaceful early night, don't come here.

Campanile Hotel Hull, Kingston upon Hull - Reviews & Ratings"We enjoyed our stay" (97848123)
The staff were very helpful. The room had plenty of room for a wheel chair and was very clean.
The hotel could of done with a coat of paint to cheer it up. The wardrobe was damaged and the shower was not accesable for a disabled person. The bath was very small. Very difficult to find the entrance to the hotel as there was not signs indicating the way off the main road.

"Overall a good hotel to stay in and is close to the major road networks." (108773308)
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Answered my questions very promptly.
2 of the lights in the room where not working properly and flickered and went off. Although came back on again briefly these lights soon went off again. Possibly down to lose connections.
