Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"Hotel lacks a grand entrance. Looks a little neglected at front but lovely gardens. Very friendly staff and hotel clean. Sticky beer glasses ugh - they have a steam glass cleaner which does not work properly. Tapas meals are very poor but cooked breakfast good - but £7.50 supplement. Overall ok but not great value for money." (97863264)
Friendly staff and nice clean bedroom
tv was modern but most channels did not work. Shower was a little poor water pressure

Friendly, professional staff and a clean warm room at an affordable price, close to a local restaurant that we booked that weekend. What more can you ask for?

Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"All the staff (reception, evening bar staff, evening food staff and breakfast staff) were all, without exception, very pleasant, helpful, attentive and polite. You do not always find find this in the chain hotels. Parking was very good for me, as I could get my car close to my room. The evening meal was nicely cooked and enjoyable, as was the full English breakfast - important to me because I do enjoy my food! I will very definitely stay at the hotel again when I am in the area." (97163615)
When I booked on line I had asked for a downstairs room recause I am disabled. None was immediately available, but the receptionist got permission to upgrade me to room 20. I was most impressed and grateful, as I cannot manage stairs easily, especially with baggage.
Nothing - the room was perfect for me.

Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"Very old fasioned hotel, living on past glories, locked in a time warp. Things have moved on clients expect more these days for this tariff." (99959997)
Good beds,nice staff
Down at heel appearance. great need for investment in upgrading hotel poor continental breakfast basically tea(cup with tea bag & hot water from thermos delivery) and toast,no croisants, no cold meats,no cheeses. At these prices very poor standard.

Location and setting were good, friendly staff
The accommodation was a little past it's best and could do with tidying up. The decor was a little dated and the single room very small.

Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"It was pretty much what I expected, however, I thought the breakfast would be better. Our toast was burnt every morning and I was never asked whether I would like anything other than toast!! The staff was very polite, but checking out was difficult. I had to run someone down because we had an early flight and had to leave by 7. The man couldn't get the credit card machine to work. There should be some provision for early checkout." (99828594)
The beds were very comfortable
Our shower didn't work, and the smells of people smoking in the lobby wafted up to our room, and made for very uncomfortable sleeping

Friendly service. Room in adjoining very generous and comfortable. The outbuilding smelt damp and probably could do with some redecoration and upgrade.

Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"The Brockenhurst is a lovely place to stay and it has far more charm than an impersonal hotel. As the owners of the hotel provided personal service, the standard was high. The hotel provides a good choice of food and beverage and as it also acts as a local pub for residents in the area (which is very upmarket), it has a more personal ambience than a large hotel. Comfortable bed." (3305408418)
The hotel is a grand old house converted to a hotel. It has lots of character and charm. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Value for money with accommodation is difficult to define in the UK but the tariffs appear high.

Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"fine overall. Nice staff, nice breakfast. Probably a little expensive for what it was - rooms would be better appointed in modern hotels; fitted bath/shower rooms etc. - but it was a very pleasant place to stay." (99832116)
nice hotel in pleasant situation
room comfortable but a bit chintzy, but then that's everywhere - not really a problem.

Brockenhurst Hotel, Ascot - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is situated close to the rail station, a short taxi ride or lovely 15 mins walk in good weather. My room was a bit in need of re-decoration, with wallpaper peeling from some parts of the room and a bit stained. The general appearance of the hotel was acceptable, but a bit run down.
