Our first experience of a Campanile Hotel. It was clean, efficiently run. Food was available even though we arrived after 9 pm. Some complimentary items. Comfortable Beds. Secure parking. Friendly staff

We just felt that the hotel were not prepared for the weather conditions even though the atrocious weather was known to be on its way through the media, television, newspapers etc. Whilst having our meal in the restaurant Sky news was on, showing the weather conditions. We would happily stay again at this hotel, as the sort of weather encountered doesnt happen on a regular basis! We just think that hotel management and staff should perhaps be more aware of the difficulties for their customers should the sort of weather experienced be repeated. Snow covered slippery steps could have resulted in someone having a serious accident, the car park not being dealt with could have resulted in an accident or at least customers not being able to continue their journey until the way had been gritted or the snow melted." Room was clean and comfortable, used restaurant facilities, good food, good service
Heating in the room was not adequate, the night we stayed at the hotel there were adverse weather conditions, snow, extremely cold. The room was never comfortably warm. Again, due to weather conditions, the car park and steps to the rooms were dangerously slippery. Although the extreme weather was forecast through the media, the car park was not gritted, or the steps leading to/from rooms and because the car park is on a steep slope, we had to park outside the hotel gates to ensure we could get away the next morning. We actually saw someone scattering table salt on to the floor, the morning we left, from a small dish from the restaurant!

Friendly and efficiant staff, booked a smoking room that did not smell and was very warm and inviting, excellent breakfast in the morning and made a Monotonanus Business trip all the more pleasurable.

Very expensive - you took advantage of the fact that Wales were playing New Zealand to ramp up the prices. No use of the Welsh language - all signs were in English and other languages. Directions were confusing and tried to make out the hotel is nearer the City Centre than it is.

This the Old style Hotel but offering a good leval of service with quiet and clean rooms. The food at Dinner and Breakfast was of good quality and plenty of choice and excelent value for money
Parking at this hotel is on the side of a hill so not the best for disabled people, but it is secure.

The accomodation, although basic, represented reasonable value for money.
We ate in the restaurant. The service was very slow and the food was very poor. The soup was inedible, baked potatoes hard, burger in a ciabatta roll which was too hard to bite, poor quality wine etc. The tables were not clean and the general cleanliness was very poor. Absolutely awful.

Basic but clean. Easy access to city centre by bus.
Food in hotel - overpriced and not what it said on the menu, especially when there was a bar up the road serving good food at lower prices.

Friendly staff, very comfortable room. Clean, would stay again. I visit Cardiff often to see family and often stay at hotel.
Not many. only one is TV could be updated. When I tried to book on line it had some difficulties and I had to call hotel direct for information before continuing the online booking.

bathroom was clean external window shutters - good idea
The room smelled very very badly of cigarette smoke. Inadequate ventilation in the bathroom and bedroom. Shoe shine cloth in bathroom was used and dirty.
