Heritage Park Hotel, Pontypridd - Reviews & Ratings"Very good location and really excellent staff. We didn't have time to sample the pool etc but it looked really good. The staff really went all out to help us especially the night manager who gave us loads of information and made us feel really welcome. I'd happilly go back. I think the refurbished rooms look great but it the corridor doors etc could also do with a bit of updating. Great stay & great staff." (97062482)
Very very friendly staff, really went all out to make us welcome and to accomodate anything we were looking for.
Check out at 11:00 seems early as usually it's 12:00.

Guests should have been accommodated away from this activity, preferably in another area of the hotel altogether but at least a gap of one/two rooms away. bed was comfortable and the hotel was in a convenient position for us to visit our property in Treforest.
The room next door was being decorated - we were awoken before 8 a.m. by the sound of this work.

comfortable beds and chairs, good pillows, excellent bed linen, tourist information good, staff excellent, good size rooms.
a little tired (decor) in both bedroom and bathroom, screw holes not filled in, grouting needs replacing etc. more local information on attractions that are open during the time of stay would have been better.

Heritage Park Hotel, Pontypridd - Reviews & Ratings"It was an ideal place to stay to visit family in the Rhondda but I would have liked to have known it had a swimming pool (I probably didn't read the facilities bit well enough!) A pity the museum was closed but then we did stay between Christmas & New Year! Breakfast was a bit disappointing - food sitting around in the warmer for a while - a pity there was not a choice of a boiled egg or kippers - there were not that many guests while we were there. Otherwise all excellent & we would certainly go again. Staff very helpful trying to find a jacket I had lost." (97874978)

Did not spend enough time in the hotel to form a wide opinion, but we liked what little we saw and will certainly choose this hotel as a base for exploring the Rhondda sometime in the future." The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. Even though there was a wedding party at the hotel our room was peaceful.Fortunately, the complete opposite to our last stay in Cardiff in February.We were able to park outside our room in the large car park." Heritage Park Hotel, Pontypridd - Reviews & Ratings"Overall we was very impressed with the standard and quality of the accomodation at the hotel, the only real complaints we had were 1:- We found the selection of wine by the glass to be very poor. considering the extent of their wine list and only to have house wines offered by the glass was vary dissapointing. we have been to local pubs and restuarants that offered a better selection. 2:- We was very dissapointed with the choices on the restuarant menu, woul dhave expected a far wider selection from a 3 star hotel" (3304767596)
large spacious rooms, the fruniture was very nice, not what i had come to expect from hotels these days
the locks on the windows and doors could do with modernisation, we were not used to having a door that you had to remember to lock manually behind you everytime we went out

Would recommend as a stop-over rather than a destination in it's own right. As a stopover it has a pleasant bar and leisure facilities better than you would expect for the price" (3304777444)

Enjoyed using the leisure club facilities, we were lucky enough in the mid afternoon to have the place to ourselves, nice looking out from the pool onto the hills. We had guests for the evening meal and there was plenty of choice, even for the vegetarian. Good food which was good value for money. Reception organised a taxi for our guests which was prompt." Clean room, relaxing atmosphere.
The Bathroom was in need of refurbisment as there were many cracks in tiles and seals. But this was being addressed by staff working through that did not disturb our stay.

Heritage Park Hotel, Pontypridd - Reviews & Ratings"Excellent, we arrived (very easy to find) at 10.30 after a 4 hour drive just to check when we could check in and the reception staff were incredibly helpful and said they would have the room ready early even though we did not ask for it. We enjoyed the visit to the Heritage Centre and were given a 20% discount by the hotel again even though we did not ask for or expect it. The pool etc was great, very friendly staff and complimentary coffee. Evening meal was again excellent, the draw back was the smoking in the lounge." (3304252705)
The room was very comfortable and nicely decorated, excellent facilities and attitude of staff.
Our bathroom was very basic and could have done with a bit of a spruce up.

Our first staff contact at reception was a very informative and very pleasant receptionist.Our room was on the first floor and was nicely decorated and even had an iron and ironing board.The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable.We had a superb breakfast in the restaurant before leaving and the choice of food was very comprehensive, including eggs cooked to order etc.We stayed at the Newport Hilton a month before and found this hotel had some atmospere unlike the Clinical efficiency of the Hilton ." Just a comment,Found windows were hard to open and shut perhaps they need a service (lubrication etc.)

There had been a mistake with my booking and I had to complete the forms again. Was in the room next to the fitness centre which was noisy all afternoon.
