Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"Good weather and lovely company it an enjoyable stay despite that mentioned above." (107414279)
Nice hotel, pleasant gardens, good food. Delighted that the hotel was able to fit us in for dinner, albeit earlier than we would have ideally liked and after they told us there were already fully booked.
No formal check-in procedure upon arrival. No-one explained hotel facilities to us, when and where to swim or have dinner. In fact, it was not mentioned when we checked in that the dining room was already fully booked. No option to order daily newspapers. Bathroom in need of some attention; shower sprayed sideways over the walls rather than down on the bather! Some of the older female staff were slightly surley.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"A pleasant, quiet, country-style hotel, conveniently located between the A27 and A259 with easy access to local places of interest." (107764084)
Pleasant and efficient staff Good food, well cooked, presented and served. Very comfortable bed. Quiet location.
Soft seating in bar lounge was very limited. There appeared to be little space in which to relax other than in the bar. Perhaps a little more variety/choice of vegetables would have helped to make a good meal even better..

The room was lovely but not as big as the picture showed, little expensive.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"Up to breakfast adequate and then spoilt." (107613861)
Good room, with good facilities such as the swimming pool/sauna and gym, plus lovely gardens.
The breakfast was not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel. I do not eat cereals or bread, and my husband does not eat meat, so when it came to cooked breakfast he asked if he could have 4 eggs as he would not be having the meat sausage or bacon etc..the answer came back no..and the eggs that did come were burnt. My breakfast had 1/2 a tomato, minimal mushrooms and similarly burnt eggs. The coffee was awful in a small pot and there was only one waiter on duty trying to serve everyone..we never have been refused request for extra eggs bearing in mind we were not eating the other things offered etc..I have stayed in several hotels including premier inns and never come across this before..it seemed mean minded and didn't make sense, but when the eggs did come I'm glad we didn't have 4!!Wouldn't stay here again or recommend it as the attitude was not very pleasant.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"A great weekend. looking forward to another visit. We will take friends next time." (107293131)
Staff friendly and welcoming. Room clean and well-decorated. Great atmosphere. Will visit again.
Lots of tea, coffee and chocolate but guests cannot avail themselves of the facility as there is insufficient milk on hospitality tray - a very small issue after such a great weekend. Also, this is common in most hotels wherein we have stayed.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"Very happy with the hotel and will be happy to stay again. Resonable rates for such a nice hotel." (107141167)
The rooms are beautifully decorated to a very high standard. The hotel is very clean and the staf are helpful.
Some of the staff seem unsure of what they should be doing and at one point all staff were chatting away in the bar. I felt I was interupting a team meeting. That said, it was only a small point and did not spoil the weekend. Unfortunately the swimming pool was out of order during our stay.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"We all had a thoroughly enjoyable two nights' midweek stay at Angmering Manor and would definitely stay there again. We used it as a base for a couple of days' walking and it was a great place to come back to and chill out. " (107115350)
We were delighted with the hotel and its location, and felt it had a really warm and welcoming atmosphere. It's a very restful place whilst still being near plenty of amenities, and the food is very good as well.
Can't think of any!

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"For the price being charged I would not recommend this hotel, many hotels I have stayed in for much less have had higher cleaning standards, also the breakfast, although OK, was not exactly "man-sized" portions..." (107181553)
Nice hotel in a beautiful part of England, friendly staff + a very homely atmosphere.
Unfortunately our room had not been cleaned to a high enough standard for a hotel with 4 star AA rating, hair in sink, shower and on bedroom floor!! Toilet was also dirty/stained. The surround on the bed was broken and I felt the bed was too large for the room provided, we both kept knocking ourselves on the sculpted decoration on the foot end when trying to walk around.

Room well appointed. TV not perfect - although most modern I believe the aerial was not right as picture often pixilated and picture and sound went off immediately during a race at Ascot!! The food was EXCELLENT dinner both evenings.
Although staff were very friendly and obliging there was generally only one young person doing everything - i.e. bar, restaurant orders and service etc so a little more staff would have been nice. i.e. our handtowels were removed after morning room clean. The girl on duty was advised but as she was dealing with all other things, it obviously slipped her mind and we went without.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"relaxing break with good facilities" (97139617)
quiet nice atmosphere friendly staff excellent, helpful, professional management high standard of cuisine - lunch/dinner
not quite worth the four stars : our room, in new section, seemed not quite finished & the furniture was 'over the top!' very disappointing breakfast - no accommodation made for vegetarian diet or for eating outside on a fine day

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"This is a lovely hotel definately recommended for a visit to the south, for Arundel, Littlehampton and area." (97830555)
The hotel allowed us to book in early as room was ready. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is a 15th Century builing with a quirky layout which adds to it's appeal. The twin room we stayed in is bigger than it appears on the website.Beds were very comfortable, excellent large shower cubicle.Restaurant food excellent for both breakfast and evening. meals.Beautiful lanscaped gardens with a water feature.
No meal on a Sunday night but there are two nearby public houses. The noise from the vent from the kitchen, on a nearby wall of the twin bedroom, may bother some people.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"From the moment of arrival we were made to feel welcome. This process continued, each and every member of staff being friendly and very helpful. All staff spoke to us when we met them or passed on the stairs - not so in other hotels. What was more, they also smiled! How refreshing after the cheerles reception you so often encounter in hotels elsewhere these days. Twice members of staff carried our bags, including the chef! All staff should be commended for being part of such a friendly and courteous team. Unfortunately we did not have time to have dinner in the restaurant but will certainly do so next time. Breakfast was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will certainly visit again." (97092317)

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel is in a quiet location with off street parking. This a real old world style hotel where you are greeted by cheerful staff who make you feel more than welcome. The whole place has a very warm homely feel and gives you a real feel of being spoilt! The rooms are comfortable and warm with decor befitting of a French Chateau. The food, wine and Champagne are all excellent! I'll be back!" (97043351)
Beautiful old building, decor and ambiance in keeping with the age of the building. Spotlessly clean and peaceful.

Hotel was very clean, nicely decorated in line with age of the building with a comfortable bedroom - nice touch of having small chocolate on made-up bed. Lovely garden. Staff always friendly and helpful Beautifully prepared food in restaurant
Lovely spacious bathroom - however lack of a shower curtain and fixture for the shower head made showering awkward. Care had to be taken when passing the wall mounted television screen and foot of the bed.

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"the room spoiled the weekend for us it was my husbands 50th birthday and we went to goodwood and stayed at this hotel for 2 nights. Complained at the room size but was advised it was full and we could not move. I think this room 214 should at the time of booking be advised how tiny it is I am 4ft 10 and I had to bend in half getting out of the bed and to move around the room. My husband is 5ft 11 and his head was touching parts of the room ceiling as well. Overall this hotel is great this room ruined our weekend. Rest of the hotel ie food amenities and the staff was faultless" (99771847)
staff helpful food excellent amenities good

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"The hotel on arrival were very poilte and showed us to our room. All staff were very friendly. The hotel bar and grounds were very scenic and provided a nice relaxing atmosphere to sit outside and enjoy a drink. Upon arrival the staff went out of there way to ensure we had the perfect evening. The menu although differant is currently being re-vamped as the hotel has two new owners who were excellant in there service and also the plans they had should make the hotel even more of a succes. Reccomend the pool on a sunday morning to clear the head. Superb" (99098915)

Angmering Manor, Arundel - Reviews & Ratings"One of the most comfortable and imaginitively decorated hotels we've stayed in recently. Pleasant & helpful staff; a large, comfortable room; relaxing bar; pretty dining room. Our evening meal was the best we've had for some time this side of the channel - and every bit as good as many we've had the other side in France! The quiet location is perfect for exploring West Sussex." (99453908)
The lovely manor; pleasant and helpful staff; large comfortable and luxurious room; evening meal; quiet location
Sunday's breakfast, ruined by a stand-in chef.
