Reception staff were very helpful and friendly, bar staff and waiters were efficient and helpful.
Only problem was that bar meal was below the standard you would expect - staff reacted well to complaint about this. TV in room was tiny.

Best Western Manor House Hotel, Alsager - Reviews & Ratings"I tel the Hotel the night before and told them I was traveling from the west counrty and did not know what time I would get there because of the traffic. I was told the restraunt would be available up to 9.30 and if we were later then bar food would be available. When we arrived we were told the restraunt was closed as it was 9.30 I told them we had been advised 9.30 despite there advertising stating 9.30 they would not serve us. We then went to the bar for bar food and were told they closed at 9.30 and they may not be able to serve us, I insisted as it was only 9.20 they then reluctantly served us. Some real ale available as well as reasonably priced wine. Although there was obviously a conference taking place in the hotel at the time of our stay, we were not unduly disturbed by the delegates. A mixture of old and new architecture but the site has been very tastefully developed. Pleasantly decorated room.

clean, not old and worn out eg carpets, radio separate from the tv
cold on arrival, noisy road outside, difficult to open doors with arms full of luggage, generally unhealthy hotel breakfast - ie very poor selection of fresh fruit salad, no nuts or seeds, no yoghurt, no fruit or green tea, no soya & linseed bread, porrige only available to order and had to wait

The rooms are comfortable and clean, and, although within walking distance of the village of Alsager, and handy for Stoke-on-Trent, the hotel is relatively peaceful, and the food is excellent. 1.Small bed. 2.There was a wedding in the hotel and presumably because of this there was a lot of noise with people returning to rooms after midnight. 3. There was a powercut around 6am and we needed to leave by 8am and no breakfast or even a hot drink could be made before we left.

Excellent car park (unless you have a Ford or Vauxhall!) and the entire place is spotlessly clean. Despite there being hardly anyone staying, my room was above the conference room (the sliding partitions of which were unbelievably noisy) and within view of the front doorstep (around which the morning activities started at 7am and were unbelievably noisy). no advanced warning was given that the restaurant was closed for a function. So we had to tour the area to find a place to eat. This was after a 450 miles drive from Scotland! Not good enough!

Instead of meeting there on the second evening she completely missed the week. I asked if I could be discounted the price of her breakfasts from my bill but was told that they were in with the price of the room. A little compassion might have helped me through the week.And could have saved me some money." (2561211)
It was clean tidy and appropriate.
I asked for a double room and the double bed was actually two singles pushed together. This was not really acceptable but under the circumstances it did not affect my stay.

"The room was dull and slightly disappointing. We were looking forward to our evening meal (AA Rosette etc), and the menu looked good. Regrettably the food was absolutely hopeless, which spoiled our stay entirely." (108578332)
Good parking facility. Friendly and efficient staff. Pleasant bar and restaurant areas, good ambience.
Shower was very poor. No double glazing, therefore lots of road noise despite relatively quiet location. Dull room, no safe. Food very diappointing - clumsy, bland, and at times badly cooked (probably the worst creme brulee ever). No better than average 'pub grub'.
