The accommodation was quiet and the atmosphere was pleasant. The restaurant on site offered an unusual variety of excellent food. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Car parking was a little cramped, it was difficult to get my car out in the morning.

Helpful and professional staff and everywhere was scrupulously clean and tidy. Good standard of decor.
1st room was too small

Quiet and clean
Bedroom was tiny; I am not used to such small rooms, even singles. The breakfast service was generally slow and poor. It took ages to get simple things like milk jugs filled up and I never got the chance to order a cooked breakfast.

The room was minute but clean and comfortable.
Poor TV reception, no plug in the hand basin, no cold water tap in the bathroom.

able to leave car at hotel and walk in to croydon centre so no worrying about parking. Also the food in the hotel was first class and not expensive & the staff made me feel very welcome
nothing would recommend

South Park Hotel, London - Reviews & Ratings"The walls are thin and on both nights my sleep was disturbed by the person in the next room returning after mid-night, and then carrying out his ablutions with scant regard for his neighbours. On the second hight, this individual fell asleep with the TV on, and after I failed to get him to respond to my knocking his door, I finally (at 0145 hours) had to go to reception to do something about it. Perhaps a polite notice to guests would alleviate this problem. The Restaurant was not available on the first night of my stay due to a private function; additionally, on the following morning, I left the breakfast room at 0710 hours (it was supposed to be available from 0700 hours) as there was no sign of any staff." (97246184)
The accommodation was adequate and functional, with everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel. The staff were polite, yet perhaps a little over attentive in the restaurant (I don't like being watched when I'm eating by someone keen to clear up as soon as put my cutlery down).
The fact that room doors are set on pressure closure points and slam when they reach the final phase.

Comfortable, close to local amenities and helpful staff
Couldn't receive wireless internet in one section of the building - where i was staying, due to a metal roof over the room. However, this was sorted by the hotel owner as he provided a cable for non-wireless connection

"I would certainly recommend this hotel for short stays. The staff are helpful and friendly. There is a lovely terrace & garden at the rear of the hotel. The restaurant is excellent and reasonably priced." (108753318)
The room / en-suite was clean and comfortable. The restaurant was absolutely excellent and I would recommend it. The food was fresh, perfectly cooked and tasty. An excellent fusion of Chinese and Indian food was on the menu. I was very impressed. The service and presentation was superb.
Two pillows each would have added to the comfort. I suppose I could have asked - but didn't.
