bed nice and comfy,shower was excellent,room was nice, quiet,breakfast was addequate but good,nice choice of foods.(prefer waitress service rather than buffet)
The only minor complaint i had was when we booked up we were led to believe that the t.v. in our room was satelite,blockbuster movies etc...,when the only channels i could get were basic freeview bbc itv itv 3 etc..only about six channels,no movies

Very cheap. Quick book in process.
Aircon broken in room. General observation was that all cooked breakfast items were in one large warmer. I am not vegetarian although if I was I don't think I'd fancy selecting vege food which was mixed in with bacon & sausage.

Check in staff were brilliant. Very friendly and very efficient. Moved to another room immediately when we notified them of a problem. Seemed very apologetic to the inconvenience caused.
Room smelt of damp and carpet was wet next to the shower room Room smelt of damp and carpet was wet alongside the shower room. Apparently they had had this problem before. Breakfast was more expensive than quoted on the internet booking and no-one knew how much to charge for the kids breakfasts.

the really bad point was, we had travelled 170 miles..no chef..so no evening meal!!we had complimentary drinks and crisps!!the hairdryer was broken

staff were very helpfull, very clean modern hotel, ideal position for attractions.
the first night of our stay was well lets say trying!!!! but the staff did a great job the next day and everything was sorted out for us, so thank you to them.

Heating had broken down. We were told to ask for a heater at reception but when we did, there werent any heaters left. Th reception staff did apologise and explain the problem. We were told to contact the duty manager which I have attempted three times, but he/she isnt there. I wil continue to try and contact them

rooms are always very clean,
unfortunatley on this visit thr hotel had a power cut from 10.30 until 01.15, the night porter was'nt very helpful(as he did'nt know what to do),we had two young children with us and asked for some candles the hotel did'nt have any,the romss were pitch black, maybe i could suggest some sort of back up lighting is kept on the premises,just in case,

Very good value for money, free parking.
Very noisy above room from 6-10pm (apparently they had a lot of children in that night) but no help offered from reception.

Everything was very good about the hotel except for the following points that could be rectified easily
Very poor signage approaching the Hotel. Very difficult to find entrance in the industrial park. Checking in procedure was puzzling regarding how much would actually be charged to my credit card re 'Incidentals'. Checking out in the morning took a long time due to insufficient training of the overnight staff - He was extremely friendly and smart but needs better training! The cost of the TV facility in the bedroom was not clear and did not appear to be displayed anywhere

We liked the "concept" of Purple Hotels. Good value for money. Willing and helpful staff. Good size rooms with lovely beds.We liked the fact that you were helping to train guide dogs.
None really, although the location on a business park two miles outside Shrewsbury is not ideal.

All the hotel staff were friendly and really helpful to everyone. The hotel room was large, clean and very comfortable. Lots of car parking for guests. We enjoyed our stay alot and thought that it was excellent value for money.

Very good sized room, enormous bed which was extremely comfortable, everything worked including the excellent shower. Despite being on a business park, this hotel also has a great view of the Shropshire countryside. AND, booking early online meant that it was really cheap!

Nice spacious room, very clean.
On arrival back to the hotel at 11.30pm the bar was closed, (we had not been informed on checking in that this would be the case, otherwise we would have been prepared!!!) We were informed that there was no way of purchasing any drinks (soft or alcoholic) which quite frankly was very disappointing and put a dampener on the whole stay.

As we used to live inShrewsbury this hotel is ideal for visiting friends which we do on a regular basis.the location is good.
We used to stay at the travel lodge all the time which is cheaper but changed to have the breakfast included.

Room decribed as Queen size bed found this misleading as actually a small double. Lock on door broke. Drinks in bar a little on the expensive side and location was such we couldnt walk anywhere to find shop/pub

I believe that more thought should be given to the staffing levels at breakfast time, we arrived at 9.00am to find no clean tables to sit at, and a very stressed and harrassed receptionist who we had seen on duty the previous night trying to juggle booking out of clients, wiping and setting tables for guests arriving for breakfast, and generally doing her best. She should not have been put into such a situation, apologising for the lack of staff! in all a very embarassing start to the day and one which the management should take careful note of." (97886161)

Room was great, bed was comfortable and shower was amazing
Air con not working in room, ran out of shower gel (not re-filled), staff incompetent - door cards frequently not working and had to be re-activated, had to reputedly ask staff to open the car park barrier because they weren't paying attention to the CCTV or buzzer, only one member of staff on the desk during meal time so they had to check people in whilst making people wait at the bar and restaurant. Also, the food was poor and massively over priced.
