The menus change daily to reflect the finest, freshest ingredients available locally. The restaurant offers regional specialities and classic dishes, including traditional favourites, with a bit of a twist. Wherever possible, the restaurant uses regional produce, simply prepared with lots of local and regional influence. The Martindale Cafe and Terrace Lounge offers 2 different areas and one great all-day menu. The cafe offers speciality teas, freshly brewed coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice, as well as home-made cakes and pastries, light meals and traditional supper dishes. The cafe has a stylish interior and a relaxed atmosphere. The comprehensive wine list offers a selection of wines from around the world to complement your meal, including a specially selected Wine of the Season. Move on to the Terrace Lounge for more relaxation, with comfortable sofas and views across the hills. The lounge is the ideal place to catch up on the day's news or just enjoy the peace and quiet. The Stag Bar offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks including a range of wine and real ales, brewed in Blackburn by Daniel Thwaites. Room service is available 24 hours a day. Children's meals are available, but in order to preserve a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere for all guests the hotel asks that families with children aged less than 12 years dine in the restaurant prior to 20:00. Leave the M6 at junction 40 and follow the A592 into Penrith, proceed to the mini roundabout and turn back on yourself. Take the first left turn on to Clifford Road and an immediate right on to the hotel car park. Leave the train station and turn right along the main road. Follow until you arrive at a roundabout (aproximately a 10 minute walk), cross over the mini roundabout and take the left on to Clifford Road.
