  "Die Buchung funktionierte einwandfrei und sehr unkompliziert, Check-In im Hotel dauerte nur wenige Sekunden, englischsprechendes und recht freundliches Personal. Parkplatz zwar nicht bewacht, aber hell beleuchtet, direkt vor dem Hotel und von der Rezeption mit 4 Kameras beobachtet. Nur 5 Minuten Fahrtzeit bis zu den Fähren, sehr leicht zu finden. Zimmer sehr sauber und ordentlich, lediglich eine Lampe im Bad funktionierte erst nach mehrmaligem Betätigen des Schalters, aber auf jeden Fall dem Preis angemessen. Gute Duschen (sehr warm und gleichmäßig, kostenlose Seifen und Duschgel). Phantastisches Frühstüch bereits ab 06:00, perfekt für eine frühe Weiterreise, sehr große Auswahl, heller Frühstücksraum. Auch Zahlung etc verlief ohne Probleme, keinerlei unerwartete Extrakosten. Würden jederzeit nochmals dort bleiben, für den Preis ein wirklich sehr gutes Hotel." (2532911)

  "Good food in the restaurant, comfy rooms with all facilties the brits expect.Have stayed in the usual budget hotels with minimal room facilities, this hotel was much more superior that those and the staff are exceptional at making guests feel welcome especially after we had driven for 8hours and did not know what to expect on our arrival. A very pleasant stay." (107316656)

  The hotel is very clean with staff who are very welcoming. The booking in process was very quick, the rooms comfortable and it was great to have a the facilities to make a nice cup of tea, will stay here again and would strongly recommend this hotel to others.

  food was not very good - I have never heard of smoked haddock being servied with a red wine sauce - it was inedible.

  "The telephone in the room was not working and had to be changed with a handset from another room. The food was average as was the room comfort but this is reflected in the price. The best part of using this hotel is its proximity to the channel tunnel." (108407240)

  Close proximity to Channel Tunnel.

  As with most hotels the television was on the blink. Does any hotel check these? In this hotel there was a very bad smell in the corridor to the rooms. Said by hotel staff to be paint drying but smelt like parafin heating not working properly. Fortunately the smell did not penetrate to the room.

  Overall this hotel is a very pleasant place to stay, the staff are allways very helpfull and friendly and, the resturant allways has a very varied menue, We would thoroughly recomend it to anybody.

  "Apart from the laptop experience the stay was very pleasant " (108946977)

  General atmosphere was very good as per our previous stays

  Only one bad point. We had dinner in the restaurant and at one of the tables a guest was useing a laptop computor which in its self was not very sociable but he was talking very loud to a third party and completly spoilt our dinner. Laptops and mobile phones should not be allowed in the restaraunt

  Friendly and efficient staff. Extremely good varied choice for continental breakfast. Excellent and fairly priced dinner menu.

  Problem with electricity supply in bathroom left that room in the dark which was difficult for showering.

  Une ampoule de lit était grillée. La télévision petit format est située un peu haut sur l'armoire et n'est pas bien visible du lit.

  Le personnel était agréable et disponible, la chambre était propre et suffisamment spacieuse (même si on ne tient pas à 2 dans la salle de bain), l'hôtel est facilement accessible (il faut quand même prendre la voiture pour aller dans le centre), et le petit-déjeuner est bien agréable. Tout ce que j'attendais d'un hôtel pour la nuit que j'avais à y passer. Avis plutôt positif.

  Le joint de la fenêtre nécessiterait d'être changé pour une meilleure isolation (notamment sonore).

  Staff always friendly and helpful, food and wine are good value and the location is superb.

  Other guests!! Why are the early starters always the noisiest. Some guests are an embarrassment, they cannot even say please and thank you in their own language.

  "The menu had changed since our last visit and was at least as good. The bread at dinner and breakfast was much fresher than on previous visits. We enjoyed the stay and will come again." (108106312)

  We were welcomed as valued guests (we have stayed here many times over past 10 years). We were expected and our rooms were ready and well-prepared. The standard of cleanliness is excellent.

  Both rooms had previously been used by smokers and room 102 especially was bad. I had taken air freshener and sprayed the soft furnishings to our satisfaction.

  The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant wich was very good value for money.

  The only downside of the meal was no vegetarian option for the main course, but saying that the chef made a very good omelette on request. also, the carpet in the main hallways looks a bit tatty but cannot fault it for cleanliness.
