  "Das typische französische Stadthotel entsprach hinsichtlich Preis-Leistungsverhältnis voll den Erwartungen (Zehn Minuten Fußweg in das Stadtzentrum). Das Frühstück war landestypisch und ausreichend. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber. Die Hotelleitung war zuvorkommend und freundlich. Kostenlose Parkmöglichkeiten in den Straßen der unmittelbaren Umgebung waren immer vorhanden. Die Beschreibung des Hotels bei Buchung war korrekt." (2722205)

  "Se ci si documenta tramite Internet in modo accurato non si dovrebbero avere sorprese negative: a maggior ragione in questo caso, data la completezza delle informazioni fornite (utilissimo, ovviamente, il giudizio espresso dagli avventori riportato sul sito dell'albergo). Il miglior complimento che si possa fare al Citotel Porte de Camargue è che un'ulteriore stella (cioè tre stelle anziché due)non sfigurerebbe affatto." (97338462)

  L'ubicazione dell'hotel (vicina al centro storico di Arles); la tranquillità delle camere e una certa atmosfera provenzale.

  Come in quasi tutta la Francia (insieme a Germania, Inghilterra e Paesi Nordici), salvo rare eccezioni, la mancanza del bidet (e dire che l'avrebbero inventato i Francesi!!)

  "Easy access from Nimes-Garon airport. Situated on S bank of river but next to bridge into town for walking into town centre. Hotel is in quiet part of town, only the early morning street cleaners disturb (oh to have daily rubbish collection!)Proprietor friendly and helpfull, genuine recommendations on restaurants, catered for an early breakfast on departure. Bedroom only average to small but clean. Rooms cleaned, beds made up promptly every day. Showers and facilities good.Street parking felt safe but a busy area meant you had to search for a parking slot. There was always space avaialable within a 5 minute walk. Pipe laying immediately in front of hotel did not help parking at the time of our visit. No complaints, a friendly clean family hotel. Don't expect an english breakfast however." (97414822)

  "We were pleasantly surprised by the standard of qulaity at this hotel, which only has a 2 star rating. The staff/owners are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms very clean and functional. There was no traffic noise at night, which one might expect in a city hotel. The breakfast was simple yet delicious, with croissants, cold meats, french bread, cheese, cereals, fresh juice etc etc, for 6 euros each. There is internet service in the main lobby which can be used at 2 euros for 1/2 hour. All in all, a very pleasant stay and we would return without question, should we be fortunate enough to visit Arles again." (99904411)

  The hotel is quietly tucked away in the city, and the accommodation is very good for a 2 star rating. The owners are incredibly friendly and accommodating, and the rooms spotless. Both of our rooms had showers over the bath which provided plenty of hot water each morning. There is also a TV in the room.

  The only complaint, and I hate to use the word 'complaint', would be the lack of parking provisions at the hotel itself. We had to try and squeeze our car into a spot a block away, but it was still only a couple of minutes walk back to the hotel. I guess in a city, then car parks are not widely found.

  It was conveniently located to the centre of town, it was clean and the owners were very friendly and hospitable.

  Did not dislike anything. I think it might be an idea to have tea/instant coffee facilities in the room. For a few more euros per night it would be well worth it.

  "I have stayed at this hotel twice before and will stay there again in the future. Quiet area for sleeping. Proximity to main highways make this an excellent base for touring the region." (97401341)

  Excellent value for money. Friendly knowledgeable staff. Street parking available and only five minutes walk to historic town centre.

  I have no complaints.

  "Very easy to follow driving directions to hotel greatly appreciated since we drove from Sienna, Italy & were very tired. The hotel is very conveniently located across a bridge to the old town. The staff recommended 2 excellent restaurants and a great Saturday market which is not to be missed. The hotel is reasonably priced." (99556328)

  "This was the best hotel experience I had in France. The helpfulness of the manager was extraordinary. He even parked my car for me and was very helpful with road directions. The location right by the bridge was handy, just a short walk over the bridge to Arles. And the room was very comfortable." (99392783)

  If I was being really picky internal sound proofing could be improved. However I must stress that noise was in no way a major problem.

  "Good, I would recommend it to anyone. The hotel was centrally based, easy walking to Arles centre. I did not realise there was an on roof terrace where we could eat our own meals." (3304623436)

  Very friendly staff, the terrace on top of the hotel was great to relax on in the evening. Children friendly.

  "The room is bright and clean and very quiet. 5-10 min walk to the center of town. Wonderful stuff, warm welcome, assistance in planning your tours at the city and its surroundings." (3305184490)

  The room is very clean, full of light and air conditioned. The hotel personnel are very pleasant and helpful, they supplied many ideas for tours at Arles and outside the city.

  The explanation of how to get from Avignon to the hotel is not clear and we couldn't find the N570 to the direction of Nime. It is easier to arrive through D2 but the indication to that road is not very clear too. There is no parking although at the small streets around the hotel free parking can be found. cartoon channel for kids

  Very personnable staff. First and foremost, they treated me with trust and made me feel like a welcome guest. The hotel was very quaint - with distinct character.

  Dislike? Nothing. It was a bit difficult to find the hotel. I would have liked to have clearer directions on how to reach the hotel.

  "The hotel is very clean and comfortable, and the owners are very helpful and friendly. It is situated very conveniently for Arles, with a 5 minute walk over the Trinquataille bridge into the centre of town. I read a previous review on this site before we went, which stated that there was no outside space at the hotel, however, this is not true as there is a spacious roof terrace with tables and chairs. The one thing which might disappoint British guests is the lack of tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, but the owners were only too happy to provide a tray of tea for us ( no charge ) when asked.   "Parking of a vehicle was the only concern The town is ancient and the side streets are not really condusive to motor vehicle traffic, making overnight parking difficult. The hotel did offer garaged parking at a cost but this was not available for us at the time. We had street parking but there is a worry about damage which can be expensive when hired cars are concerned. (Unless you take out the expensive extra cover)Otherwise a great stay." (3304636742)

  Simple but clean run by a friendly couple who were helpful and pleasant.It was near to the town attractions and quiet during the night. We would stay again.

  "Outstanding. I cannot speak highly enough of this little hotel. The managerial staff were extraordinary. Every day they helped us with our itinery and generally looked after us. After we left the hotel we were involved in a motor vehicle accident. We were very shaken up and it was a bank holiday in France. Everything was closed. We returned to the hotel and they sorted everything out for us. We plan to return to Arles and will stay at the same hotel. If they are going to read this. A big thank you from Canada." (3304580868)
