  Close to the train and bus into Cardiff - promote this more - handy for the games on at the stadium. Take advantage of the swimming pool.

  "Overall pretty good experience. The hotel was more like a Travelodge/Premier Inn type place than a local hotel/b+b. The decor was better than the pictures suggested. Would stay again." (108725761)

  The room was clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Pool/sauna facilities looked good but we were only staying for one night so didn't have time to try it out.

  There was a mix up with the booking where they gave us a twin room instead of a double but this was easily rectified within 5 mins. The breakfast was average at best.

  Room and hotel clean, staff friendly

  Very damp smell in bathroom/bedroom and room overlooked road which was busy in the morning and we had requested a quiet room. Very limited breakfast only 1 roll left and not much hot - coach party just left

  Room v. clean and tidy. Bed comfortable, slept well. Staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was v.good. Breakfast was average.

  "The room was very good value for money (we paid £50 per night for 2 people) but if we stayed again then we would go elsewhere for evening meals. Overall we enjoyed our stay at this hotel." (107360350)

  Rooms were very good and comfortable - look recently refurbished. Breakfast was nice and reception staff were pleasant. Plenty of car parking available.

  The bar food was very over priced and poor quality - my soggy 'home cooked' chips came out black/burnt and although they were replaced the waiter was pretty defensive and told me that's how they cooked them! Other minor point regarding the bar is that the glasses weren't very clean.

  Staff were all very friendly and efficient. The hotel overall and in the bedroon was warm and inviting. Excellent sized bedroom - with very good TV. Clean throughout. Excellent location.

  A little 'tired' decor. A picture ot two in the bedroom would have it seem more 'homely'.

  Friendly atmosphere. Food excellent and restaurant staff provided an excellent service.

  Hot water tap in bathroom running very slow and took a long time to for the hot water to come through. Corridor doors a bit shabby and in need of painting.

  No General Complaints staff very friendly, and a keg bitter in te bar available which is very rare in hotels in England also bar prices fair

  Evening meal was "ok" Welsh lamb shank a bit tough, and my colleague felt his fish wasn't cooked enough, but all in all accepatable

  There had been a mistake with my booking and I had to complete the forms again. Was in the room next to the fitness centre which was noisy all afternoon.

  "Very good location and really excellent staff. We didn't have time to sample the pool etc but it looked really good. The staff really went all out to help us especially the night manager who gave us loads of information and made us feel really welcome. I'd happilly go back. I think the refurbished rooms look great but it the corridor doors etc could also do with a bit of updating. Great stay & great staff." (97062482)

  Very very friendly staff, really went all out to make us welcome and to accomodate anything we were looking for.

  Check out at 11:00 seems early as usually it's 12:00.

  "Decorating was being undertaken in the room next door. Guests should have been accommodated away from this activity, preferably in another area of the hotel altogether but at least a gap of one/two rooms away. If this was done then we would recommend this hotel." (97492786)

  bed was comfortable and the hotel was in a convenient position for us to visit our property in Treforest.

  The room next door was being decorated - we were awoken before 8 a.m. by the sound of this work.

  comfortable beds and chairs, good pillows, excellent bed linen, tourist information good, staff excellent, good size rooms.

  a little tired (decor) in both bedroom and bathroom, screw holes not filled in, grouting needs replacing etc. more local information on attractions that are open during the time of stay would have been better.

  "It was an ideal place to stay to visit family in the Rhondda but I would have liked to have known it had a swimming pool (I probably didn't read the facilities bit well enough!) A pity the museum was closed but then we did stay between Christmas & New Year! Breakfast was a bit disappointing - food sitting around in the warmer for a while - a pity there was not a choice of a boiled egg or kippers - there were not that many guests while we were there. Otherwise all excellent & we would certainly go again. Staff very helpful trying to find a jacket I had lost." (97874978)
