  "This is a family hotel that aspires to be a Holiday Inn - it is not! Perhaps it should concentrate on the family market and price its rooms accordingly. " (107850225)

  location right on beach. Staff very friendly and helpful.

  room not clean, carpet not vacuumed during whole 4 day stay, despite informing front desk on arrival. Generally overpriced. Could not see view as double glazing faulty! General facilities, despite having a small pool, not up to the standard they are charging for.

  Excellent location, good bar

  I was disappointed that I was not informed prior to my stay that a Wedding Party would be held until 2am. This kept me awake until this time. I would not have expected this unless it would have obviously disrupted my stay, which it did as I am sure every room in the hotel would have been kept awake. If I had known I would probably have booked another night. I was disappointed with the room size, and know now that I was only paying for the location of the hotel. I was disappointed with the bathroom as I would have expected better from a 3star hotel. It was very small and old fashioned. The breakfast I found to be only adequate as only one person was serving/clearing tables when I was eating and I had to request hot drinks, it was not offered and I felt cheeky asking as there was no sign or menu suggesting that this was the protocol.

  Staff were friendly, the room was clean.

  Room was small and cramped, TV did not work, shower was tepid, only one bar of soap was provided for use in both shower and sink, only half a toilet roll was provided, bed was hard and the matress was lumpy.

  "Other that the internet access the 4 days that we stayed at the hotel was very good. The view was great I loved the sound of the wind and waves." (97675878)

  The hotel was very close to the Herding trial that we were going to.Also being able watch the sun set was very romantic.

  Even though we booked this hotel because it had internet access, the first two days it did not work. That caused me to have to go find a place in town that had internet access. I was very disappointed in how long it took for the access to be resolved. The other thing was since we were on a long vacation we had several pieces of luggage and the hotel did not have a luggage cart. That meant that we had to make several trips to the room to get everything in and out. I would suggest that the hotel get a luggage cart that will fit on the lift and provide it for those of us that have many bags.

  Food was very good Warm welcome at reception

  Bar was untidy, with takeaway containers, paper and dirty glasses still left on the tables in the morning. Bins in bedroom were not emptied over our 2 night stay. Staff outside smoking.

  Close to beach.

  The night porter and the breakfast staff were very friendly and helpful

  Are room was very small, The bed headboard was hanging off the wall, There was no curtains on the window only a pull down blind, The bath had cigarette burns on the edges The bath & sink plugs had no chains The swimming pool was out off order and the day staff were not very helpful at all as to when it the pool was due to reopen

  "We were given a room with a sea view which was a decent size for the price we paid. The food was fine and nothing was too much trouble for the staff. " (107254208)

  Accessible, clean room. Though small, the steam room served its purpose of a bit of skin treatment. Tidy pool area.

  Tardiness of kitchen staff...They took half an hour for a salad,fish and chips meal. Also, although I had requested dairy alternative almost two weeks before booking I was told twice they were out. Furthermore, a simple, and basic item like potatoes for fries also was depleted. Additionally, I was told quite brashly by the receptionist I couldnt get a room with an ocean view for a mere two days!

  clean and tidy rooms and in good decorative order.

  We had a good time but if I was to pick something outit was 15th and 16th of February it was cold, maybe more games facilities, a dart board more poole tables and games consoles (only had one)

  "Not sure is we were given value for money due to poor service ( speed ) and we did not chose to use the recreation facilities." (97490685)

  Fit for purpose and clean.

  Service was a little slow in the restaurant and the waiter forgot to take our order until prompted. You ran out of House Red Wine and we had to pay more for the next standard up.

  Great location , modern , clean . All staff were good.

  Dissapointed to find that it would of cost less if I booked direct ( not the difference in price as it was only £1.00 ...just the principle) .

  "The hotel looked inviting and the receptionist was helpful but the pool was not in working order and that was one of the reasons we chose this hotel. There was no hair dryer in the room which is unusual and the television was very basic. The restaurant did not have adequate staff although the ones there were very friendly and helpful. It was very disappointing there was no al la cart menu and the table dote menu was not very interesting or tasty. The breakfast was late in coming and tasted like it have been sitting there all morning. Overall not the best night we've ever had." (97011670)

  "The Beaches has the luxery of being one of very few hotels/ B & B's to stay in Prestatyn. I felt it was over priced because of this- it takes advantage of its position. The breakfst was very bad- i would recommend anyone going there to have anything other than a full breakfast- by odering individual things such as poached egg i feel you would have more chance of having something fresh rather than the cold overcooked muck we were given."   Room was clean / Wireless Connection in the room.

  The hotel does not really cater for business people...breakfast not served till 07.30 (and served slowly), the evening meals are only available from 7pm-9pm ??. The TV in my room was very small, and some distance from the bed.....the dressing table was too small to have the laptop and filebooks on at the same time.

  "I have used the hotel as a stopover whilst on business in the area. I enjoy good recreational facilities and the pool and gym are excellent. Accomodation is clean and fresh and more than adequate for a stopover. Staff have always been pleasant and accomodating. The hotel offers first class value for money." (99887116)

  "There is a danger I look to criticise just to fill space. It would have been better if the gym had not been quite so hot and if there had been more equipment but that is being picky. Overall I think the hotel represented good value for money and all the staff were helpful and courteous." (99896452)

  "The bedroom I occupied overlooked Pontin's Holiday Camp and on one evening, even though there was a pea-soup fog preventing visibility, they held a noisy fireworks display. A resident in the area said Pontins created the most noise nuisance with all night raves and such. So the bedrooms overlooking Pontins would get the brunt of the noise. The hotel was very clean and quite comfortable." (99271409)

  Although a very small bedroom (designed as a double) it was adequate for my solo needs.

  Noise from a coach party of pensioners whose bedrooms seemed to surround my room.

  "The procedure for allocating breakfast meals on arrival. On our arrival we were given a ticket to indicate we could partake of breakfast. No table number was allocated which caused a minor problem when attending breakfast. When we were eventually allocated a table we were given the wrong meal (it being the people on the next table) a minor irritation. Reception staff, bar staff and waiting staff were polite, well mannered and helpful and should be considered a asset." (99756253)
