Enormous room, beautiful decor, lovely bathroom, pleasant bar & excellent buffet breakfast. Didn't use the restaurant, but the menu looked pretty good.

Close to Merry Hill
Big hotel which is lacking investment in mostly staff and training. Rooms are bare and dated, on par with travelinn but charging £30+ a night on top.

Room was clean and comfortable.
The food in the restaurant was absolutely appalling, I don't expect to be served up 'Bisto' granule gravy to smother what was a dreadfully over-cooked baked mushroom. The cured meat platter was so tough and inedible it would have been better used to re-sole my shoes. Sorry, but just rubbish, rubbish, rubbish, not helped by the fact that I sat for 15 minutes before someone took my drinks order.

Good size room and bathroom. Friendly helpful staff. All the facilities you would expect to find. Good location next to the Merry Hill Shopping Centre.
Some noise (music)from a bar situated across from the hotel. Poor kitchen service in the bar area and the cooked breakfast looked greasy (although my husband liked it). Could have had more choice of continental style breakfast as an alternative.

The location of the hotel is very pleasant. The standard of the food was very good. The room was very clean and tidy. My husband and I particularly wanted a hotel which had breakfast inclusive of room cost. So we were very happy to be able to stay at the Copthorne.
Although the bathroom was clean,it needed a bitof touch-up - had moulds in the corners of the bath.

Good spacious room, Staff very nice and helpful, attending wedding which was wonderful, very nice breakfast next day.
bedroom was cold - but easily sorted by reception staff who arranged for a fan heter delivered to room.

The hotel is clean tidy and the staff are very pleasant and helpful.
The only bad point is that whenever I book online it is not directly with the hotel chain, as the site goes through an agent and the hotel can never find confirmation of my booking which is ok when the hotel is not full but it could prove quite distressing if the hotel were to be full and I were forced to make alternative arrangements.

Good check in service - quick and informative. Spacious room with all the facilities you would expect of a 4 star hotel. Ideally placed for shopping at Merry Hill
Bar service was poor. I accept that the hotel was busy as it was Valentines Evening but we waited for over 10 minutes waiting to be served only for the bar person to serve someone who had been standing at the bar drinking ( a group of 4 meaning that we could not actually stand at the bar ourselves) and had simply turned round and then got served. We then ended up paying £3.50 additional room service charge just to get a drink and a sandwich. A good bar person knows how to serve in order. The other thing that ruined an eveing away from our 2 young children was the noise coming from the function room that went on until after midnight. Some warning would have been appreciated. It was not obvious from looking out the window on arrival that we were over the room. I would have brought earplugs!

Room was cold on arrival (radiator had been turned off) and did not get warm until late night. Exhorbitant food and beverage prices, I think £32-95 excessive for two drinks plus two snacks.

Great value for money. Wonderful facilities, e.g. free swimming pool and jacuzzi. Great selection at breakfast. Good service. Added cot without me asking as said got 16 month old staying with us. Happy to provide high chair for baby for party buffet. Close to pub - just across the canal.
Was charged the wrong amount for my room - something wrong with computer system? But happy to change once I pointed this out. No coffee or biscuits in the room. There are stairs from entrace of hotel to main car park. This is not convenient for luggage and push chair.
