breakfast was excellent and well prepared room was clean and bed was comfortable, shower was excellent lounge bar was lovely on Friday evening, with log fire hotel is opposite a really good Indian restaurant and a very short walk from Carlo's Italian restaurant
heating in room was off on arrival and it was cold and unwelcoming, complained and it was switched on heating was off again on Sunday morning in the room, bathroom was therefore cold and uncomfortable, we were leaving anyway so left it lounge bar was used for a party night on Saturday

The hotel and staff were excellent. They were very helpful with my daughter and her seven month old twins, giving her a large room with plenty of space for cots and an area outside where they could all play. The two meals we had in the restaurant were both excellent using local produce. We would definitelt stay there again.

Very pleasant and engaging staff from reception to bar to restaurant. Sirloin steak was delicious!
TV was poor in terms of content but we didnt have a great deal of need for it

tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Good scottish breakfast. Staff friendly. Lovely old Inn should be promoting the scottish theme throughout
bathroom needed deep cleaning black mould on the showerhead and screen, floor dusty in the corners. Also mattress was very worn needed replacing.

I had forgotten the charger fpr my mobile phone. When I asked at the desk if they had one kicking around, the guy actually asked his girlfriend to go to his house to see if she could find one! Well above and beyond the call of duty!

Staff very polite and chatty which is good when you are a solo traveller. Efficient and helpful also. I was offered a packed lunch as i was leaving before breakfast - which was a nice gesture.
Bed was not the most comfortable and the shower screen was a little useless.

The staff were friendly & helpful. Location & parking facilities are good. The evening meal was excellent.
The bed would have been comfortable but has either not been put together properly or is in need of maintenance as it creaked loudly at every move. Some of the furniture, especially in the bar, is tired & worn.

The Full Scottish Breakfast was a an impressive portion with fresh local meat.

Facade was fresh, clean and the advertising outside promoted well what services the hotel provided, hence the reason for booking as I had noticed the hotel in my previous vists to the area; very easy access and parking and in the centre of town.

Nice hotel, convenient and very easy to find. Within easy walking distance of several nice restaurants.
Room very cold all night, even with the small heater on full. Also had to compromise on breakfast as the dining room was deserted and still in darkness 15 minutes after breakfast should have been served - not good when you have early appointments to keep. However, managed a very quick bacon sandwich and was not charged for breakfast.
