  "A good hotel perhaps a little staid in its decoration of bedrooms. However homely and comfortable. I have been told to ask for a bigger room next time by one of the regulars! A pretty dining room and a well stocked pond in the garden for a tranquil stay." (107388368)

  Excellent position in Norwich. Welcoming staff. Well organised and polite. Excellent dinner.

  Room a bit small especially bathroom - just adequate. Became very hot that night but managed to find a fan in wardrobe which cooled us down. Couldn't open window in bedroom. Perhaps the fan should be more obvious? Perhaps breakfast could be included?

  Staff extremely helpful and friendly.

  Booked twin-bedded room, put in double bedded room with very small single bed which made room claustrophobic.

  "Good hotel and staff very efficient. Shower facilities were terrible and food much too expensive. Seems like the reasonble room rates draw you in, then they make the money back on food prices. Recommend but dont eat there at the prices. Would only go back if showers were more powerful and food prices were reduced." (108082967)

  Shower was a dribble and head didnt stay in place and took hours to run a bath Sink was sloping and water overflowed to easily. Food is crazily expensive. How one can justify

  "I knew that the accommodation in Annesley House was of a high standard as other family members have stayed there in the past. The staff were friendly and efficient and the breakfast was delicious and served quickly. I was allowed to leave my bag in a secure area for a few hours after check-out which was very helpful. I did observe that some negative comments (or niggles) from another guest were not well-received. Comments of this nature should not be taken personally by staff as standards are generally high at this hotel." (97729950)

  It was clean, light, warm and quiet. It is also based in pleasant surroundings.

  My single mattress sloped slightly down to the right, meaning that I nearly fell out during my sleep.

  "The food was well presnted and delicious. The portions tended to be rather small - but thhis was acceptable for a senior citizen. The hotel ws well positioned near the town centre - and had off street parking. However, it was quiet and restful. The staff were helpful and friendly, and made our stay very enjoyable." (97650290)

  I liked the dining areas, the bar and the gardens - which were beautiful.

  The room was dark and rather old fashioned. When I first entered, my heart sank. However all the facilities were there and the general feel of the hotel's public spaces made me feel that a prfessional designer had been taken on board and they he/she would get round to the bedrooms and make them light,modern and welcoming.

  It was extremely clean and well maintained. A good choice of TV channels and even a DVD player in my room and the little sweets in the room as a welcome/departure.

  Close to the main road into Norwich City Centre but not too overbearing, even with the window open for fresh air. Filled in feedback form for hotel as slight smell of smoke in room but that could be still lingering in the curtains or carpet from previous times. Bedlinen though was clean as was everything else.

  Comfy bed, a bit noisy, convenient location. Nice biscuits and tea on room.

Dinner in the restaurant was reasonably priced with an excellent choice and quality of food.   "We located the Hotel online and found our room was separate from the dining area,however,this did not create any problems for us. All the staff were very helpful and pleasant in every way. The general cleanliness was well above standard. A very small personal complaint would be that in our room the television needed to be higher from the ground in that particular environment."   "I presumed that the hotel accomodation would have en suite shower facilities, as standard, especially as the hotel tries to be cost effective in other areas.( i.e energy efficient light bulbs). The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful." (99988731)

  The room was spacious and in a nice and quiet area.

  There were no shower facilities, and the room was quite dark and gloomy. (Maybe a change in colour of carpet and furniture could help to give a lighter appearance).

  "As I had booked a superior double room, I would liked to have been told that there was no outlook and that the room was very dark. If I had been told beforehand I would have been given the chance to change rooms for something lighter and brighter, a room to reflect the fact that it was a superior room." (3304953188)

  "Hotel was clean and interesting but the hot water situation was VERY disappointing. We had cold water on Friday night, Saturday morning and evening. Only able to get a hot shower on Sunday morning. Management could 'only apologise'. If I were in charge I would at least given a complimentary drink or discount." (3304986913)

  Pleasant environment close to Norwich city. Attractive gardens.

  No hot water from Friday night to Sunday morning so could not shower.
